3:52 years ago I ate some sunchokes, they grew taller than I am and they were very much in crispness and flavor like the canned water chestnuts for Asian recipes. I was short on ideas of how to use them, so I planted other things instead. 6:20 Bitter grapes, if they lack sugar, that can be added, if fermented into wine, then have a few years for the tartaric acid to precipitate out of the wine solution, then decanter off the wine, the bitterness may be very much reduced or eliminated. 7:08 , here in Ohio , quite a lot of people weave them together into a Christmas tree cone shape, then attach miniature Christmas or other colors of lights. They look quite lovely during long winter nights, a sort of thing to have near the entry door. they need to be weighted down at the base because the wind blows them over. 8:39 I planted sweet peas in a huge pot with my new for this year David Austin Eustacia Vye rose. Eustacia was "Act One", as Eustacia rested for a short time, the old Matucana sweet peas and Erewan sweet peas wer "Act Two", now the sweet peas are going into retirement, and Eustacia is back on stage. Only fragrant sweet peas for me, their candy like fragrance is quite pleasant ! And I bought the seeds from someone who I can not remember in England. The Matucana dates back to the 1600s.
Quite idyllic your cottage garden, thank you for showing us!

The leaves of the vine are used to make a dish called "Dolma". With a filling of rice, ground beef and a small amount of chopped fresh herbs (parsley, dill and mint). Try it, it's delicious.

Just sending through a quick hello! Really appreciate your videos, been following from early days as well. Currently bought a house and in the process of re-designing the garden, so your videos are providing a lot of inspiration for my future english country-inspired garden!

Hi! I planted my elephant garlic late in February, so I was unsure when I ought to harvest them. 🤔 Love how lush everything looks in your garden! ❤

Hi, I just found your channel today and watched only about 7 videos yet. But as you are trimming the not so tasty grapes: grape leaves are edible, so you could harvest some leaves for eating and chuck the rest, as you do. I use them in a multi-species spinach-y dishes (with Hosta leaves, strawberry leaves, raspberry leaves, Hablitzia tamnoides - so many more possibilities 😊). I also dryed them in a mix with other greens and powdered them and then put a spoonful of the powder in soups.

Lovely video. Just getting into growing veg, so lots to learn. Loved the look of the elephant garlic - and it has flowers. Think I will put this one onto my list for next year. Best wishes from Lottie in Suffolk.
