this is now my to go build for Mordekaiser. But i usually end up building almost full tank because no one seems to like building tank... I mean imagine having a assassin top laner, mage mid, an ADC and an enchanter support and they will complain not having a frontline lmao
btw. I think that Draven ulti at baron was pretty smart of him. Intentionally missing it, but getting vision, and then trying to steal by timing the drag-back of the ulti.
Awesome! I build sunfire quite a lot on Mordekaiser as well, except in I do it in toplane. Surviving longer = more healing from w and Mord already has high base dmg. It's not good for every game though

I would agree with you if it wasn't for the fact that he was hovering over Draven for ~1 second hitting R and it not going off while the ult was available. =/. If you go in slow mo, it's clearly up and he's on draven for a full second, the ult is up for about .5 seconds, then he dies.

Sunfire doesn’t give enough stats Morde cares about. Gold efficiency is real down there for him. Honestly frostfire might be better if u need a bamis item. Going sunfire is counter intuitive to his role in teamfights. Why go an item that gets 5x the value of its passive in a team fight on a champion that forces a 1v1. Frostfire at least gives morde extra stickiness without needing rylais. Not to mention that Mode loses a lot of his kill pressure on tanks without the riftmaker passive. Even turbo chemtank would be a significantly better item than sunfire.
Most if the time as morde, Im pretty much right in the middle of a team fight after ulting someone. The bonus burn damage does help melt everyone away, tenacity is nice too
Oh man that Xerath was NOT building well. Liandry's was awful into that team, and if you're gonna go Liandry's you ALWAYS go Cut Down + PoM and you never build a Seraph's.

I think Cosmic Drive is a better first item rush than Rylai's. But all of it is super match up dependent. Rylais is fantastic in the jungle and just kind of okay top, unless you're against a high mobility champ like Riven. I've loved tank Morde since I first tried it, and I always went for Frostfire Gauntlet, to give a cc effect while still being tankier than Rylai's rush. But still, Cosmic Drive outperforms almost everything as a first item buy.
The thing with Morde is he can take the enemy jungler out to secure your teams smite. If he is the jungler however... that is why Morde jungle isn't the best.

Also, the mace going up you saw was an auto attack you tossed out on Morgana.

Try riftmaker but rabadon as 2nd item...secondary runes focus and storm. This is dmg.
