I thought outside the box and used Hoppe’s #9 gun cleaning solvent which is what I had on hand. With a little rubbing I was able to remove the ugly 50th anniversary Hot Wheels Tampo from a Chevy Blazer 4x4 without paint or windshield damage. Smells good too!

Sometimes people use what they have. Ordinary paper towels aren't good enough. Get the blue shop towels or lint free cloth towels.👍🏻👍🏻

This is definitely going to help me. Thank you so much Carl!
Happy to help! Be on the lookout for more vids.
can carbie cleaner work
I like both trucks just the way they are.
But some cars really do need serious removal of these graphics, that just ruin 'em!
Agreed....i love the plain and simple, dont even like flames.
Hi, will this work on a 1/18 UT Models car, also?
I dont know what those are but if they are similar to 1/64 scale HotWheels....yes, it will work.
I do not collect but, I do metal detect and get many that have various kinds of environmental crap on them, maybe this will help cleaning them up.
I metal detect also and have found several cars in the volleyball pits.
Thanks for the help
Probably use a Qtip and not have to take apart the car too maybe
Great tip, thanks.
You can do it with alcohool
I cant bring myself to mix cars and alcohol.....
Def gonna do this !
That is so stupid easy ... I have not seen a "tampo" that was really good on these cars, so getting them off is cool and easy too.
