I’m here to tell you - DO NOT waste your money on the Linkbud S buds. The sound is terrible and reminiscent of a cheap assed pair of buds from Amazon. I was shocked at how bad the sound actually was, as so many people on UA-cam speak highly of them. Do yourself a favour and spend the money on the flagship buds instead. You will not be disappointed. The sound difference is night and day. Also the case of the Linkbuds S is cheap and light plastic, the battery life is terrible and the noise cancellation while good, is far from great. The only redeeming feature of the Linkbuds S is their fit. They fit so well and are amazingly comfortable. I paired them with Spinfit Omni tips which tailored the fit a little more.
I've got the Linkbuds S, Pixel buds Pro, Buds 2 pros. Sonys block out the most noise. Then the pixel buds pro are really close they're very good. Then the buds 2 pros, they're not great, probably tier b.
As a person in the field of work as an Electrician I work both underground and at roofs. I havnt had a complain yet when receiving calls or doing em. Second True Wireless that I actually had after my Jaybird Tarah Pro that survived my testing non "Wireless" This Is the Sony Linkbuds S I talk about. Ofc nothing is perfect but would say Linkbuds are good, will test Sony WF-1000XM5 after new years.

@user-on4kr1zd1d nope, I hate apple. I don't have an iphone. I have a galaxy S22 Ultra. I have both the Sony link buds S and Sony 1000xm5 earbuds. The ANC is the same on both of them with the silicone coated foam ear tips from Amazon. The sound quality is much better on the xm5 ear buds. I never liked the mics of any of the ANC earbuds.

I have the sony Linkbuds s , they are GREAT, but be careful you should use high quality audio files to get that great sound output that the LinkBuds s offers.

I think the xm5s are the most comfortable stable ear bud ive ever used. I used to like the qc 2 better, then I got these. The foam tips seal so much better than silicone, and help them stay in my ears. I thought wing tips would keep them more stable. But foam tips, that are also hollowed out, make them stay in and never fall out for me.
Foam eartips are good for gym or not ? I do sweat a lot...like a lottt....I sweat like hell....very much.... And I'm worried that when I sweat like hell , these foam eartips will get destroyed soon
Considering i have an s23 ultra n a windows laptop with which i will use the buds.. should i buy the galaxy buds2 pro or pay more for the wf-1000xm5? Which will be a better value purchase for me?

@@evolution5052 Linkbuds dont have wireless Charging but to take fully advantage of LC3 codec you might need a compatible cellphone with Bluetooth 5.2 or 5.3

Is there a way to choose what I want? The tap settings to be on the X5? I know this sound silly but i'm actually Thinking about returning them because I can't figure this out. I had to return the galaxy buds2 pro Because my set was defective and I decided to try Sony. Someone who wears one earbud a majority of the time, I hate not being able to choose what my tap options are.
I'm using the Linkbuds S, but I'm guessing it works on Xm5 as well. You can change the touch sensor functions with the Sony headphones app, under SYSTEM section

@evolution5052 I did not like the XM5, I ended up returning. I felt like simple things I wanted to change I couldn't, and things I would never use were adjustable. I got the Galaxy Buds2 Pro and LOVE them! I would say cheaper option if you're not using the extra options. That's what you're paying for. Audio maybe a bit better, but $100 better?

(Edited - see my comment below) I just bought the Sony WF XM5 and im extremely disappointed with the ANC & ambient sound. It just doesn't work at all. Does nothing. The ambient mode just adds a hissing sound. ANC on or off makes no difference. Total crap.
@@evolution5052 i actually figured out the problem - the eartips, even the largest size, were too small for my ears. I bought new ear tips, large 14 mm width, and the ANC works great now.

@@armaanmodi one of the earbuds just stops working every 10-15 minutes of usage and you have to put them back in the case to reset them. Also sometimes if I look too far to the left the right ear stops working

The sound quality of the Sony link buds s was extremely disappointing. The separation is horrendous and the sound is low for some reason. I have €10 Sony wired headphones, not only do they have a higher sound, the Quality is five times better plus the base does not muddy the sound. These earbuds where a complete let down and waste of money
Having used quite a bit of Sony headphone and earbud products over the past few years.I've come to find that their .Audio products are similar to their cameras on their phones. You have to tweak them to make them shine.

I find the anc to be stronger on earbuds compared to headphones.

The Sony's WH1000xm5 have excellent ANC for a headphones.
The microphones on all of them sounded like garbage to me in loud areas.

the linkbuds have ultra poor sound quality and the eq basically does F all for them even full volume is not loud enough
