A local favorite who is also known in Europe as a serious jazz singer, Joyce Cobb is one of the great survivors of the Memphis music scene and has played most every style of music and in every size ensemble from solo to symphony. This 2010 performance at the Levitt Shell was one of 50 + free shows now offered to audiences at the historic amphitheater every year.

It's my first time watching Joyce Coob singing live. Such a nice surprise. I only knew the tune "I did the gold" and now I listen to her singing the blues and playing the harmonica. It's so enjoyable.
