She’s not clearly overpowered but she has one of the most overpowered moves in the game and is really degenerate to play both against and with now.
Would prefer they revert/lessen the WR1+2 buffs and try something else cause I don’t enjoy using it or playing against it and I don’t think I’m alone in thinking it’s boring or frustrating.
I think it's hilarious that instead of addressing any of her numerous shortcomings to buff her, they instead took what was already one of her better tools (install running 1+2) and just made it DUMB strong. I almost feel bad when I use it.

Exactly. She’s probably the most offensive character in the damn game who suppose to be defensive. And she kills your health bar!
Nobody is a defensive character in this game. The devs purposely dialed the offense up to 11 and nerfed defense across the board. They gave her the buffs to keep up

@@erk8520 you can even unga with her on defense! Just back 3, power crush, can-can, parry, tsabaki, or high crush. Blocking is for cowards and pansies.

I get clickbait is all part of the hustle but the video answers the question: Asuka still isn't really that strong. She's in the best spot she's ever been, but not for the right reasons.
@@ItsCassius The video title is a way of sparking discussion especially since I mentioned at the beginning that I hadn't played against Asuka since the buffs. Also I didn't know when this was "one of the best Asuka's in EU" also whether or not Hwoarang is "mid" (I don't remember saying this) I'm also just very good in this MU anyway so....

4:30 - 4:35 In that sequence, she indeed went under a jab with her Power Crush and Xiaoyu'd a mid. If Asuka's Power Crush could always go under highs, I've never seen it before.
It took me until more than halfway through the video to realize that Asuka's supposed to Mayoi from Ace Attorney. I feel slow now.
I don't like the idea of running 1+2 (I think that's the move) being *+18* on block in Heat, but at least it's only a Heat thing. Her mix-up options after that command grab being safer certainly helps her, but I don't think she's leagues better than she was.

The buff did not changd her status ver much, her faults are in her core sets, her predictible strings, her low poke damage, how hard is regain the offensive and how she lost the offensive after only doing 2 blocked hits
In Tekken 8 most character are like hwarang, can continue attacking even when blocked certain strings, but Asuka can't, and the damage she can get when attacking is low in comparison, the short distance of her attacks are bad for poking, her advantage is the safety of her launchers i think
I love her so much right now, she is not s-tier but feels like at least a-tier.

WR 1+2 buff was uncalled for but i dont think the buffs were too much especially when she has been getting abused with nerfs coming into tekken 8, more importantly i wish they would fix the hitboxes because I feel like crying sometimes lol.
They just made this character even scrubbier.

I was just talking with a friend about how broken Asuka seems (even when comparing her to the likes of Jin Kazuya or Jun ) (I'm biased against Mishimas and Kazamas because of how rewarding they are for the amount of time/lack thereof you have to invest into them) AND NOW YOU'RE SAYING SHE GOT A BUFF TOO?
While the running 3+2 is welcome, but duckable and her running mid reactable... the problem with asuka still remains... in a game where everyone is going crazy, asuka does not have a great 50/50 game... and the people that make her look good like kingreyjr, are putting in a lot of work with the char... you have to be very creative to work with her.
This move is too much duckable!!! It's so easy to foresee and duck, anyway that's just still one overpowered move in weak ass character. I don't think that this move should be this op, but it's still not overpowered enough to evaluate Asuka to S tier or even A, maybe B but still doubt. Her destabilizer move was a fix, not buff per se.

Hwo doesn't carry anybody it still takes huge mixup knowledge and knowing when to use the correct stances in certain situations to win with him especially at higher rankings/lvl play. Anybody can carry u in this game but only so far, eventually you'll have to get deeper into the system to climb higher.

Nah. She's still weak. People complaining about her buffs are only doing so because they haven't put in the time to lab her and they're looking for any excuse not to. Besides, like a dude above said, her biggest buff was to one of her already-decent tools, running 1+2. She has holes all over the place still, and this title is disingenuous to begin with since K-Wiss went 6-2 against her with a character that he considers "mid".
