My 12 year old son and I met Tie Domi in a bar in the LA Forum in the early 90’s. He was great. He posed with my son for a photo, and signed the Kings/Rangers program for him. A true gentleman.
I've had the pleasure to see this man 2X on the streets of Toronto. Each time he stopped to spend at least 10mins to talk, take pics, the 2nd meeting he put us up on his Twitter account. There couldn't be a more genuine, humble, man. Glad we made your day. You def made ours. The pics are still up on our shop floor. This guy is a hero you definitely want to meet. God Bless this man and his family. Dash is kicking butt !!!
One time in high school back in the early 2000's I was at a kegger in the Lorne Park area ( domi lived in this area) things were loud and getting late... in comes Tie grabs one of my loud buddies, puts him in a jersey and playfully rag dolls him as we all chant " DOMI DOMI DOMI " when we pull the shirt back over my friends face he had tears of joy as Tie was his Idol. GREAT GUY. LOVE YA TIE.
If you’re 14 years old in the 80’s and you can beat the shit out of a 20 year old man and you can skate well, your destiny is to be a fighter in the NHL.
As the mom to a T1D girl since she was 4, and a hockey mom since she was 6, thank you Tie. Max is amazing and a great ambassador for the community and your talking about ladies hockey is so important. Thank you ❤️❤️ I have a tall but skinny D kid and she lives for Max and even as Wings fans we lobe seeing him with the A in Chi ❤️❤️
This guy is all around special. True gentlemen and not afraid to get his nose dirty at all. I remember his hay days in Toronto and wow what a special player. To bad he never got a cup there.
Domi is a special dude for sure. As a Wings fan those days were epic and it shaped the rivalry. Good shit. PS not suprised he rode the short bus for a minute 🤣🤣🤣
Great to see you here Tie. Thanks for everything you’ve done for hockey as a truly skilled and honourable warrior. Also, great to see you as such a strong advocate for Women’s hockey. Wishing you the very best always. - Toronto.

My roommate in University played with Tie in Peterborough. Said he was unreal. Said his neck was wider than his head. They kept in touch and was saying that when in NY Tie didn’t have to pay for cabs or dinners. He was a god there.

After watching him discuss his book I got a new found respect for him, and I think he's smarter than I gave him credit for. Really liked the interview and what Tie showed us about himself.
This man is the reason why I am Maple Leafs fan today. I always admired him and his line mates. Years later I became a full fledged fan during the Burke era.
He wasn't just a fighter either he could score the occasional goal. 10-15 goal guy. He made sabres leafs games so fun to watch. Miss the ray and Domi battles.
In high school and early 20’s lots of ppl used to call me little big man like Domi. I was small 5’8 compared to everyone else 6’2, that I would never back down, give it my all win or loose with more wins than losses. 😀
All new respect for TD,after this interview.Good job guys.Great story about the Philly fan.I heard him tell this story before. And it's a joke that the NHLPA has no healthcare in retirement....
Early 90's i was at a rochester amerks game and after warm ups guys are leaving the ice. This one smaller guy in a jumpsuit/warmup clothing starts trash talking the amerks players coming off the ice and proceeds to get into a brawl with kevin kerr in the runway. Only a few fans saw it . That rather unknown player at the time was Tie Domi
Loved that era of Amerks hockey: Kevin Kerr took no shit from anyone and had a monster career in the Colonial Hockey League after three seasons in ROCH.
The enforcers during my childhood in the 80s and 90s left an impression on me. The entertainment was huge but even as a kid you could understand they were out there sticking up for their teammates. Sorta life lesson on how to stick up for people wether its family, friends or people being bullied. THANKS Mr. DOMI
