I had a Munro for 15 of 22 years of my career; it just 'works'. Whatever we did; including 10 mile tabs with your helmet inside the top. It just worked!
The fact that some people think they are "uncool" makes me love mine even more. It is without doubt my favourite pack(piece of gear?) by along way. Whether for world travel, daily shopping or humping across hills and mountains...it does the job more than adequately. Think i have seen a review of yours online when you mentioned the Ex... 😎😁 Keep up the good work
I got mine when I passed basic training in 1987 and serviced me through my army and civil engineering careers, still in use today although plastics clips are grey and brittle not back for almost 40 years hard use
Mate...an awesome review for an awesome daysack. I (luckily) still have mine (original version) purchased in 1991! It's sat next to right now and I use it daily. The Ex never got mine. 🙄 Mega Vid mate. 👍🏻
Just bought myself one of these to go on holiday, the grey one. I have another. That is 20 years old, the green one. I have just contacted berghaus to see if they will fix my 20 year old one and they are happy to do so and for free. Insane customer services. Travelled the world with me that thing!
KFOR - Kosovo. Was there in 99 in an outpost in Klokot, It was odd to see child like handprints/footprints on the ceiling of our outpost, which was some sort of annex, either a police station or something before it was taken over.
Hi John, great video. What is the empty weight of this please? Ive got a 5.11 Rush 24 as a daysack and seems heavy when empty, I'm looking to change as I want to fight light rather than carrying all sorts of stuff in my bergen.
Keep it simple, stupid (KISS). Similar story, mine served in many theatres incl. Sierra Leone. Took many years to replace it with a new Grey Munro 2. Perfect grab bag in my vehicle when travelling in Australia.
Colonel i am staying loyal to Berghaus, yes i could list a string of modifications i would like, but it just has one job as a small back pack, and i like it, yes i would love a few more outside pockets but then your going away from a 30 litre bag into Helikon or alice pack ,
