1:23:00 if the planet Mars was opposite the sun, on the earth’s other side (night side) as it was passing near earth’s orbit, Mars would glow red, a lot bigger and brighter than the moon. It could cause the earth axis to rotate, causing one side of the earth to face the sun overhead most of the day. There is no visual graphic on this lesson to depict possible position of Mars near earth, and how it would be seen from man’s point of view. If that were the case, Joshua marched all night with his troops…..his path illuminated by Mars’ red light, reflecting from the sun, and next day when the sun rose, earth’s rotation was slowed down due to Mars nearby gravitational field momentarily to cause the sun to “remain” overhead, the 2 planets transferring energy to each other, adding/subtracting days in the calendar. 🤔🤷🏻♂️
Much simpler for me!!! If you believe that God created the WHOLE UNIVERSE JUST BY SPEAKING IT INTO EXISTENCE, why would you have trouble believing that God could JUST AS EASILY do whatever He decided with the earth?? I have no difficulty believing God simply stopped or slowed the earth from spinning!!!! (and for Hezekiah - BACKED IT UP!!!)

I dont need to consult science to believe that the creator of the entire universe, from nothingness, could not also command every atom on the Earth to cease rotating, all without the need for him to comply with OUR laws of physics. I do not doubt your belief in God, but do be sure to understand that HE is not constrained by the laws that constrain us. Or, perhaps more accurately, the laws that we BELIEVE constrain us. I'll give another example of what I mean, vis a vis science versus religion. God created Adam. The next day, was Adam a one day old infant, as we might assume? Or was he more likely a 30ish year old man, about to be given a wife? So, God created Adam to be an adult, already with some built-in age that already existed upon the moment of his creation. Could God not also have created the entire universe on the "first day", but with this new creation already being 13.45 billion years old upon the moment of its creation? None of this is even more work than a sneeze for God, or a blink of his eye. None of this is to say that Mars *didn't* approach Earth. But, just, why is that hypothesis even necessary?
Listening to Chuck, it appears he recorded this teaching back in the 80s. I need to find out the 3 mathematicians he mentions and find out any works they may have published. I’d like to check those. I don’t think Chuck is explaining away any supernatural events; I think what he was doing is the data he’s referring to CONFIRMS the supernatural events, exactly what the Bible says.
