Great stuff, thanks so much for uploading! Those K-4a and K-4b light pacifics were such beautifully proportioned locomotives to my eyes.

Oh, this is really good and rare stuff featuing the GTW daylight passengers trains, westbound 21 and eastbound 56 coming into and out of Durand on their way to and from Muskegon and Detroit in the what appears to be the mid to late 1950s. Steam locos on the Grand Rapids subdivision would power their last passenger trains on Dec. 2, 1958. Diesels replaced them until 21 and 56's last runs between Muskegon and Detroit, April 20, 1959. What's especially interesting about the very first scene is that a U-3-b powered 21 from Detroit to Durand, its livery to be turned over to a Pacific, U-4-b, or Mountain at Durand that would pull it the rest of the way to Grand Rapids and Muskegon. No 6300 would venture west of Durand until fan trips in 1960 and 1961.

Yeah, 5632 IS still around and awaiting fund age to bring her back to life in Durand but we're about $1M short of making that happen. Oh, and if you're interested to see her run again...go to and/or write your check to the Grand Trunk Western Historical Society, (GTWHS) and we'll make sure your donation is duly noted. It would be a GREAT remembrance of 5629.

GTW 5627...The roads "Voodoo" locomotive. (i.e. she ALWAYS had something wrong with her).
