Alanis m is so under appreciated!! I have always always related to her work. Even today. Yes I am alcoholic. I’ve been to meetings but not regularly. I still drink often.. BUT She has just hit a base of people that she doesn’t even realize... If she is a friend of bills then she just hit a whole community. She hit me.. I love her and I love kelly Clarkson as well!! When Alanis said how everyone expected her to be this wild angry person that would "come into the room and rip everything off the walls and spray paint the walls--" during JLP, but that she's really not like that in person: So true. I met Alanis at a show in 2002 and she radiated this really quiet, beautiful, VERY calm energy. Definitely not a loud raging person.

What's crazy is I almost didn't recognize Alanis. She is very beautiful, the hair reminds me of Lily Tomlin in the 80's or Joan Jet. I think Kelly and Alanis should just hang out and see what art is created.

Your comment deserves a thousand likes, Avril and Kelly had the same pop/rock angsty vibe of Alanis in the early middle 00's, but Alanis songwriting is on a whole another level.
With all due respect, I disagree. Alanis writes deep lyrics that make you think and feel. Avril sang surface level cliche pop songs like skater boy for example. Kelly's lyrics are also pretty mainstream and surface level, tbh. I enjoy Kelly's music and her singing talent is AMAZING. Alanis is on a whole different level.

Avril is not that good of a lyricist, but she does write her songs.
@@Juandomngz Kelly does write some of her music and so does Beyonce. Key word, some. But my point was that comparing Avril and Kelly to Alanis was absurd. There's no comparison in my opinion.

I love that Kelly has literally no make up on and still looks fabulous! I love when women do this! I think they look more beautiful without all that make up on - speaking as a woman myself! Yes Alanis is amazing, as a fellow Canadian I love her! I actually saw her at the beach one time but I didn’t go and say hi because she was with her posse - this was when she was just becoming famous many years ago in Ottawa Canada - her hometown! She’s very cool - she has an extensive vocabulary because she reads tons of books - check out some other UA-cam videos of her and you will see her library!

I freaking loved jagged little pill so much & supposed former infatuation junkie I loved even more.
I remember when 16 year old "Alanis" came out with "Too Hot" they were trying to make her another Tiffany or Debbie Gibson but I absolutely loved that song even though it was super pop,
The she took back her last name, rawed up her voice and wrote jagged little pill and my mind exploded.
