SD a cool kid, I got invited to Dorchester Mass to record with him for free while he was touring.
SD is about the only one from the GBE clique that I see that actually has his mind pointed in the right direction. This interview is why I checked out his album. Ive heard all of his Mix-tapes. But its good to see people mature especially from the area he grew up in, its very easy to stay in that mind set. Chicago is my city as well, so I like to hear things like this.!

I was given the opportunity to leave my hometown for a better place and I took that chance. It would make perfect sense for anyone in Chicago to jump at the chance to leave the projects or wherever.

I am from Chicago, I'm from a side of Chicago that doesn't see most of the crime that he is "talking" about but I do know of it. But first, all these people saying blacks in Chicago should convert to Islam, how the hell is that going to change what it is their doing in the first place? Most people in the streets don't even believe in a religion, they don't believe in any God. But you do have those who believe in God because they were raised in the church. But really, you can't lump Chicago together entirely, it gives a misconception of Chicago as a whole. My summer job allowed me to see kids from different states talk about how scared they were to come to Chicago because of the media. Before they went home they changed their minds. And on a last note about the God thing, I believe..not sure if i'm correct, but God has chosen not to interfere by giving us free will. We have a choice in everything that it is we do.

When all their doing is making the best out of a bad situation from which they come from but never perpetuated or asked to be in. They taking advantage of a opportunity they have to make some money. What really needs to be discussed involving Chicago's black community desperate need of change and liveliness of economic growth and legitimate finances as well as resourceful and useful education for these children in these schools.
