I have the same one had it for 2 years and I fit 3 racks of ribs on the bottom easily. One thing to note about this grill is it needs to be cleaned or it will start a grease fire. Learned that the hard way after smoking a 17lbd brisket. I didn’t burn my brisket. The grease fire happened when I was cooking hamburgers. Just letting new people to beware if not cleaned after something really greasy is made. So don’t make the same mistake I did. Great video!!
Thank you so much for sharing the information. I will make sure my daughter keep it cleaned because she loves to grill hamburgers. Thanks for watching and supporting. Have a great day!
@familytimeinquessissippi not a problem. Just wanted to share my experience with this grill, good & bad though it was my fault for not cleaning it. Happy Grilling!!
I’m looking to order one, can someone tell me the height from the grilling rack to the top of the inside of the smoker? The traeger tailgater is only 7” and this one looks bigger
It looks like Pit Boss cut their Pit Boss Austin XL directly in half because the Pit Boss Austin XL is 1000 and the hopper is a 30 but with that being said if it is half as good as what my Austin XL was she will absolutely love it forever I used it day in and day out three meals a day I literally wore it out
I just sold my Austin XL. I got it used from my son. It's just too big. Wasting a lot of pellets, heat and smoke, to cook one pork butt or one brisket. I got the Lexington Onyx Edition. Now no wasted smoke. Gets right on the meat.

Thank you. That's awesome!

I wish I would’ve got the austin xl but I got the Lexington on Easter. Man I absolutely love it
@@nalley6815 Thank you. I like the Austin XL. I saw one at Walmart.

I just filled my hopper for the first burn, it says 15 lb. capacity sheet more like 5 lb, what damn liars they advertise.
Thanks for your response. I've never thought about seeing how much it will hold. I will test ours.
I have this grill and love it. But pitboss FAILED math class! 15lb hopper capacity at 1.25lb an hour is about 12hours! NOT 17hours. 🤣😂🤣😂
Thanks for your response. I have to watch my hopper constantly. I had a fire to go out once.
