This movie is so powerful so many people was completely heartbroken over the Iron Giant destruction they all forgot the train scene and what happen after he's he's built as a weapon but with Hogarth love he became indestructible
@@jediknightgeounderrated because it should have won Best Picture. It was criminally undermarketed. Botched by Warner Bros, the clown prince of mismarketing.
@tishtashtishtash It's underrated because it should have won best picture? That doesn't make any sense. The movie has been rated with universal acclaim since release. It has never been underrated. Now, I do agree with the marketing. They could have done better.
@@jediknightgeo ok, let's start at the very beginning: In a just world (which doesn't exist because life's unfair), this film would've been topping the box office and given all the awards. The fact that in this cruel planet it was wholly ignored *by the general public* until time proved its timelessness is how it's underrated. That isn't denying that people loved it from the get-go ... those who saw it. Those who didn't still hardly know about it. You're using an extremely narrow definition of the word. You're appropriately implying that it's not *undervalued*; I'm stating that it remains underappreciated and underestimated.
@tishtashtishtash Let's try again. It's in the word, rated. What was it rated since it's release? It has received universal acclaim. It's not underrated, it's overlooked. There's a difference.
Iron Giant. One of those amazing little gems that didn't get lots of press and buzz but when people find it they know its one of the best movies they've ever seen. Watching grown men tearing up at it is so confirming as to how I feel watching it. :)
I agree with the Cocoa Coach about General Rogard. On the outside he may seem like a gruff and hardened kind of soldier but on the inside he’s a kind and understanding person.
This movie is a Masterpiece, I don't care what anybody else says. I want to quote Mick Foley, famous ex-Wrestler of the WWE: "In a fair World, the Iron Giant would have his own Theme Park!"
Not going to lie it goes from crying tears of sadness and remorse to crying tears of joy and happiness the iron giant a soft souled warrior or a better title comes up
Idk why that first guy hits so hard in the feels! Aww, the poor guy is hit the hardest by the ending. It makes you wanna give him a hug; especially his reaction to seeing that the Giant is okay. This is definitely making me poke out my lips, with big puppy dog eyes. 🥹❤️🩹

CRIMINALLY underrated, this is a truly GREAT movie.
It been rated with universal acclaim since its release. Definitely not underrated.

And the Crowd at the Theater Dried they're Eyes, And CHEERED When they Realized he was still Alive. Or, Not Destroyed. Great Movie.
Dried our eyes? No. Cheered? You better believe
@@pleclerc2112 Both. I saw it in theatres.
I saw this movie with my grandfather years ago....he said between tears that "Good guys never truly die."
*Iron Giant writers:* So how wholesome and heartwarming do you want this movie to be?
*WB:* Yes.
Love this scene. Does make you think though…if he hadn’t changed to become good, he would have been absolutely unstoppable lol
The ending is pure joy

Bawled at that movie; one of the last great 2D cartoons of the 20th century.
I was hoping i got STFU outta EOM lmao.
Imagine if the Giant opened his eyes at the end and they turned red... whole different sequel

A simple yet extremely profound movie
That smile from the Giant at the end, that always wrecks me.
one of the most moving..........I AM SUPERMAN......No you're not Superman , you're our hero ,you're our IRON GIANT and we love you....ALWAYS!

I legit just randomly watched this on Amazon prime. One of my favorite VHS movies as a kid
Brad Bird has been killing it longer than I realized!
Could we get one where he rages at Hogarth's "death?"
It's not yet but it's coming
@@ReactTV1 you should also add one where the giant flies for the first time
To this day, I'm still waiting for The Iron Giant 2.😢
Please don't say that... Disney would make such a mess of it

Hey, after all, Superman came back to life when he died, right?
"A nuke couldn't stop him!".. of course it won't...he's superman ❤
Why is this movie so good
Awesome video.
😢iron giant ❤❤❤Superman!!!!!
EOM is the best
He'll be back we hope
It was because of this very ending is why I waited my entire childhood on a sequel that never came. 🥺🥲👌💔
