Urgghh All these people complaining about bent legs and hops! Its college gymnastics! Its not the elite world! Scores don't mean the world! Get over it!
Can't believe Bridget Sloan is a senior and is graduating college. I still think of her as the baby of the Olympic team in 08 and now that was 8 years ago wow has the time flown by.
Dear Florida gator gymnastics when I get older i really want to go to Florida for college. But my biggest wish is meeting all of the Florida Gator Gymnasts! It would be amazing if I could meet then exspeccialy Bridget Sloan! -Kamryn Mccauley 10 years old
I know this video is from a little bit ago but sloan is one of my top athletes. I am not a gymnast, I play soccer and softball but her attitude and determination shows how dedicated and committed she is to this sport. I respect her so much and she is definitely one of my major role models when it comes to her attitude.
i am going to see you this sunday at the baseball game those where my grandperants who you saw last night i cant believe i am going to see you . and yes i do cry when i watch your videos not in a bad way
Guys, 10s are not literally perfect. 10s are given relative to the performances before the routines. If judges had already given a 9.975 or a 9.950 to a routine before this that had more visible errors, judges have no choice but to give a 10. There is not a single routine with absolutely 0 deductions, so don't be stingy-ass mofos and appreciate the gymnastics.
So basically your saying that because of her line up in the competition, she earns a10 by only that? Basic errors are still errors and I'm old enough to understand what your saying cause back in the 88 games, many girls received 10s based more on their name, line up and country. Shousnova scored 10s with errors so big people in the 46 th row could see! Silivas as well was award generous score on some routines, forget l however, doesn't make it right though! A visable deduction should be deducted
Mike M yes, and that’s a flaw of the 10 system - that it doesn’t differentiate enough. The problem with NCAA judging is that they only take VERY OBVIOUS deductions so things like form and amplitude rarely get credited fairly.
Wonderful gymnast and great routine. As much as I want her to always score a 10, this wasn't a 10. She had an extra hop on her last pass. Unfortunately, you can't hide that. Given this was her last routine, I feel the judges were a bit over-zealous with her score. I have seen her nail the landing on that third pass in previous routines and you can see them on UA-cam. She had the obvious hop and there should have been a deduction.
I'm an elite gymnast and my floor music is Bridget Sloan's.💙💙And I'm very excited to compete with her amazing floor music. My coach said that this music for me perfectly!
she stepped out at 1:15 and she knew it but quickly raised that right heel onto her lft foot to play it off. Th coach and judges all caught it as well as you can see them looking at her feet and the facial expression of the coach standing there. It was her final as a senior....i'm happy they let it sly. She deserved it.
I totally agree. She is a wonderful talented gymnast, but you cannot hide a hop like that. Being a gymnast I have always known that a hop on a landing is a deduction. Great routine, but it shouldn't of been a perfect ten.
Sarah Rief This comment is getting old so many people are writing it. This is Collegiate/elite gymnastics and they are not scored as professionally as international. look it up before being rude. :)
that was not a 10.. she had a small hop at the end of her last pass and her first tumbling pass had bent separated legs in the back handspring. definitely not a 10.
Sophie Caroline Are you the one to decide that? NO! IF THE JUDGES WANT TO GIVE HER A 10, THEY'LL GIVE HER A 10! Do you even do gymnastics by the way? Because any gymnast could that was a perfect 10?
Persy Lopez I am a competitive gymnast and completely agree with what Sophie is saying. That being said JO and Xcel and Elite are certainly different than NCAA. It also may have to do with her energy, I know there have been times where I thought the deductions would add to far more than what they actually ended up being because the amount of energy kind of distracts from minor deductions.
Such as shame that a such a strong and beautiful body like that has to be covered up with too much fat. She'd be a 10 if she'd lose about 15 pounds or so.
I did say something nice. I said that she was a 10 (underneath about 15, maybe 20 lbs of fat). I also said that it was a strong and beautiful body. Anyone who tells her she's perfect just the way she is is not doing her any favors.
Imagine watching an elite and accomplished Olympian and athlete and choosing to make an entire comment, using the word "shame" as a descriptor...because the thing that concerns you most is "about 15 pounds or so". This says a great deal about your character and limited scope of standards than it does anything else. I'm sure some people in your life now - 5 years on from this - would be quite disappointed and turned off by your audacity. Hopefully, you would feel the same way, looking back.

Can't believe Bridget Sloan is a senior and is graduating college. I still think of her as the baby of the Olympic team in 08 and now that was 8 years ago wow has the time flown by.
Bridget is one of NCAA’s best dancers of all time

I feel like college gymnastics is turning into a retirement home for former Elite gymnasts.
YOU’RE BOTH RUDE! Get your asses out there and do what they do.
@@Lynettay so much junk in the trunk
@@jmcfintona999 it is so refreshing to see these young ladies with healthy bodies. Instead of borderline anorexics.
@@dianelawrence2910 agreed.
Yes with some watered down routines ha
um how about that 1 tenth hop on that last pass???
Emma Jaworski not 1 tenth it was definitely a deduction but I think they scored her easy because it was her last competition
Emma Jaworski maybe it is in her routine
Emma Jaworski they score college gymnastics differnt than JO..
It should be 0.05 hop, it's the way deductions are in NCAA, so correctly scored, this would've been a 9.95.
Emma Jaworski I thought that hops aren't always taken as deductions in NCAA. I know that steps aren't, like in her first two passes.
Great performance. Loved it!
I was there!!! It was amazing!!
This girl is awesome!!!

Andrei Buendia it didn't deserve a 10 so shut the fuck up

She's strong!! wow

+pappysprite Finally. Somebody noticed.
That would bother me if I was a compete gymnast against her. I saw the hop at the end too!
Stacy Farrow If I was a judge, since, I am harsh, that wouldn't have been over a 9.95 in my world. There were obvious deductions.
+Kameron Coleman well she can lunge if it is controlled but she cannot bounce out of passes like her third
TheWrestlingPalace Who? Caquatto?
Love Bridget! Always have, always will❤️♥️❤️♥️

Unlike other gymnasts, she can actually dance.
Her mom was my gymnastics coach and I have one her scrunchies
She is super Good👌
Bravissima!!!!!!
do college gymnasts choreograph their own floor routine or is one given to them?
the teams have a choreographer
Some do their own because they have ideas. But it involes more of the gymnasts personality then in jo
GO BRIDGET !!!
CONGRATS !!! Thumbs up !!!
GO GATORS !!!
Go Bridget!
Fantastic!! Gators
I had a clinic with her and Samantha peszek
Cool my birthday is on March 11
that was not a 10.. she had a small hop at the end of her last pass and her first tumbling pass had bent separated legs in the back handspring. definitely not a 10.
Sophie Caroline Back handsprings are not judged in elite/collegiate gymnastics lol.
Sophie Caroline Are you the one to decide that? NO! IF THE JUDGES WANT TO GIVE HER A 10, THEY'LL GIVE HER A 10! Do you even do gymnastics by the way? Because any gymnast could that was a perfect 10?

Does anybody know hat her floor music is called
it wasnt a ten in other competitions, i feel they overscored a bit more than usual because it was her last
Ya
❤
The hop on her last pass? 1 tenth
Samantha Murray NCAA is not scored the same as elite. Look it up before being rude next time
0:32 I thought that she is a spider😂
Nadia will forever be the greatest...... 7 perfect tens.....queen of gymnastics
And yet she never even competed skills of this difficulty
the commentator didn't say that she was world champ? lol
OMG this is me I'm on UA-cam!!!!
Hey
WHY isn't she in the Olympics???!!?
She was in the 2008 Beijing
And she was the world AA champ in 2005 I think.
She was AA champ in 2009, she was only eligible for senior level in 2007/8.
2009 world AA champ and 2008 olympic silver medalist
What des the sont she used? Somebody🙂?
What
Wait I thought she got a 9.975
Wtf is this first position, bizarre!!
Is she quitting gymnastics?

Courtney Baxter what is the name of it
I didn’t see a turn in her routine
Kaliyah Brown it’s not a requirement in NCAA gymnastics
also not a requirement in elite
mikayla is still 45.
sorry, laval.

Pete Chapman she's a 10 with her weight. She doesn't need to lose anything. It's just the style of those leotards that make her body stand out more.
