#windows10 #tech #techtips
I love it when some one in tech community cares about us Windows 10 Users. Cheers mate
You're welcome
It's a shame and disgusting to see that MS actually put all their effort to adding bloatware, spying processes and BS to their OSs instead of develop true utilities and better interface designs to make the user experience nicer and better, which is an insult to the people. After all that is kinda crazy that MS keep still there on top of the OS business, the benefits from being a monopoly.
What I think is funny is that they go out of their way to backport all the new ads and bloatware from Windows 11 into 10, such as search highlights, the larger widgets (news and interests) screen, Windows Backup, and copilot (although that one never showed up for me).
As a Windows 10 user, this video is really helpful! I prefer Windows 10 over Windows 11. Thank you!
People, be careful when using uninstallers like Revo. Don't select all the "leftovers" and delete without checking what are you deleting because there's a slight chance of breaking something.
Thanks John mate that is a really good tip because I have used Revo in the past and always deleted the leftovers without a second thought👍👍
@@johngoard8272 Advanced uninstallers detecting things that have nothing to do with the selected program is more common than you think.
Have a great day :D
I’ve been using Revo for quite sometime now and I always hit Select All to clean out the leftovers and never had any problems.
@@PJD_55 Doesn't mean it can't happen.
@@John.Doe.X1 I totally agree, just saying I’ve not had any problems (so far).
Since I'm a Win10 home user, I'm getting the policy plus application and use it.
Yes Please keep this coming it has been so frustrating trying to uninstall one-drive. If only I could work out how to uninstall One-Drive off my Samsung Android Phone. You do a Great job keep it up mate.....Only wish we can keep using windows 10 without having to pay to keep using it. No way I want to go to Windows 11. Thank You....:)
@fusionsniping3741 Thank You, I now have finally got rid of one drive off my android phone.
Can we use policy plus on Windows 10 pro?
Thank you Brian yes I'd like to see more for the win10 home cos maybe something in those settings is preventing my laptop from updating from build 19 something a rather to a later build 20 something a rather cheers
MS are unable to give me just one single compelling reason to change to 11...what does it do or have that i need, let alone want...the vast vast vast majority of its users have no reason to change, there is nothing to be gained by changing...why change ?..
@britec yo yo! Finally had to join as a member! You have helped me countless times over the years with these amazingly helpful videos! Just wanted to say thanks. And the "what'cha guys" at the beginning of your vids always makes my day a little better lol
You've set "Automatically send memory dumps" to Enabled, but I think you meant Disabled. (Thanks for the awesome video though!)
hello, it's the first time I see one of your videos, congratulations! do you have any videos already published, or any solution to the problem of the spotlight that always changes between the same few images? obviously a solution that is not one of those usual generic ones that are found on all the tutorials and that I have already tried... I suspect that it depends on some service deactivated for some reason but that also influences this aspect.
Thanks
Should i trust you and download a file from github?
great video great expert advice thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
The only way to make Windows 10 or 11 better is to switch to a different OS. I'm 100% on Linux Mint Cinnamon now. I only watch this Windows stuff because I do PC repair/builds/upgrades in my local so I have to stay on top of things.
Linux is only good for surfing the web & emails. That's it. You do not do PC repair. You have no idea!
@@Nick41622 "Just so you know, Nick, I've been a certified PC technician since 1998. I hold an Associate degree in IT from New England Tech in Palm Beach, Florida, along with certifications in CompTIA A+, N+, and MCSE. I gained five years of experience at a family-owned custom PC shop, and I've personally assembled over 350 PCs, including many with custom cooling systems. Regarding Linux, it's capable of nearly everything Windows can do, and in some aspects, it outperforms Windows."
I don't agree that switching is the only way.
It's also a common misconception that you need a good knowledge to install linux and you need close to 0 knowledge to install windows. It's rather on the contrary, you can install linux with almost zero skills, and you need to have a lot of experience to make windows work smoothly. The author of this channel helps people to make this job done
@@ТоварищКамрадовСоциалистКоммун It's your prerogative to disagree. But I don't get your point. Both Windows and Linux are easy to install if the installer can follow simple written instructions.
Yeah Linux mint is a great distro of Linux but the small apps like Rufus and any other small technical stuff cannot be done in Linux mint (I used it)but with windows 90 percent of operations on internet cam be solved easily 😊
I've downloaded and extracted policyplus from your site, but I cannot install. Where do I find policyplus.exe?
Amazing video like allways. I have been busy over here, i have been saving to buy a plot of land and a fixer upper to play with so i have been a busy bugger.
Thanks
I can see this will be the next piece of software that Microsoft will block.
To Make Windows 10 Better and More Responsive you have to remove it and install linux:)
Agreed
@@charliecarpenter2840 Love you:)
Linux is useless!
you don't have to remove windows. Install linux on your old computer that you was about to throw away. Give a new life to your old hardware, it may serve you well
How to export and import all the group policy changes when I buy a new pc or reset the current one? Do I just copy and past the group policy folder in system32?
(For Win10 pro users with built in local group policy editor cuz there is just a export list option)
Make Windows 10 Better and More Responsive. I kept waiting for you to say, 'uninstall Windows 10 and install Windows 7'. But sadly you never did.
My god! Trying to wrangle a Windows system is such a painful mess. It looks almost as if Microsoft are trying to drive users off their systems.
Hmm Brian this looks a really good piece of software and frankly I think it seems to be much easier to fix those policies rather than gpedit which I have using Windows 11 Pro. Now if I download this for my Windows 11Pro instal I am assuming it will do the same thing even though I have gpedit?? Plus if those policies are changed is there any chance that any further Windows updates will change back those settings because that would be a real pain?? Now maybe a dumb question but why is there two choices i.e. Apply and OK as is it seems like double dipping??
great video. I had an issue "White flash when opening explorer, chrome, and other programs on dark mode windows"
I switch to Linux Mint & most of my problem solved.
I have been using Windows 11 from released
I stay with win 7 forever
no matter what the micro Soft Terror Orgainzation does

I use both linux and windows
Hej Brian thanks for the video and also your video on Windows 11 how to fix this very useful i have both a computer with windows 10 and, windows 11 what bothers me the most is the advertising in Windows 10 and Windows 11. And there will be more advertising in both operating systems in the future but luckily you can turn off the advertising in Windows but the question is how long? but right now we can turn off advertising in Windows so that's nice. I don't think advertising should be in Windows at all, advertising should only be in the Microsoft Store, I'm fine with that. Then absolutely we have a lot of tracking in Windows luckily it is possible to turn off some tracking. But tracking is everywhere mobile phones other🎉 devices and so on we have to live with that but it is possible to remove some turn off services use vpn. And absolutely Windows comes with so many apps and programs that many users don't need so yes, when i do a clean install I uninstall a lot of apps in Windows that I don't use and, you free up system resources and get a faster, smoother Windows take care Brian and have a lovely weekend.
i have both win 10 home and pro
I wish I hadn't followed this. I left system restore well alone but all my restore points disappeared. MSFS Simulator doesn't work anymore. I went back in and reversed all I did but nothing Came back.
YOU ROCK.....
I just go for Lite builds from GHOST SPECTRE
Don't trust GHOST SPECTRE
I use Double One btw 😏
Policy plus is great but remember to hit safe after change otherwise it'll be hilarious. 😂
Enable/Disable. Microsoft "double speak" is meant to confuse. Ridiculous. Microsoft's consumers deserve far better than this shenanigans.
can Linux run on a windows11 laptop?
Format c:
👍😹😹😹 using gparted
😂 the ultimate hack
Did you come up with that all by yourself? You must be a Linux user 😂
Lol, Windows 11 is newer but most people are downgrade to Windows 10.
Deltree C:\ works much better. A format can be undone, but Deltree destroys the entire directory tree and can wipe a 2TB drive in less than a minute. I use it instead of doing even a quick format ever since the command came out in either MSDOS 5.x or MSDOS 6.x.
What about Windows 10 Pro user, even can use this policy configure setting so..?!
I might need like a very long use, and i'm gonna not end support for system!! 🤔
Why is everything that was suppose to make life easier, turning life to crap.
Win 10 is responsive even without all these fancy tweaks... But win 11 isnt. And it would be a problem later when win 10 will go out of security patches...
How does I still get windows defender latest updates every week even I’m in windows 8.1? Is this a glitch?
I think it's normal. you won't get any patches, but Windows Defender antivirus will continue to get updates. Just like any other antivirus would do
👍👍
Make Windows 10 better. Upgrade to Windows 11.😱🤣
Untill Microsoft start charging Windows 10 users
🙂👍
Yeah Make WIndows Great Again )
Just joking ) We know that a good Windows is called Linux
yeah no i dont think this fixes anything... when i type some stuff in my searchbar, it takes 10 years until anything is loaded, as well as all otther things that are part of the OS.
and no, its not my hardware and this is where in my opinion lies the biggest issue... i do not at all get why in the world WINDOWS WONT USE ANY MORE SYSTEM RESOURCES IF THERE IS TONS OF IDLE HEADROOM!!!!!!!!!!
i'd be blessed if steam proton or wine would run consistantly for all apps, then id probably switch to linux immidiately.
one thing i also dont get is why the hell it gets slower and slower the more time passes, the rersources are right there windows, just so you know.... retardOS
I made it better and more responsive, I installed Linux mint instead, far faster and far fewer issues. Windows is malware
Best way is to uninstall it.
and use what? Linux
@@Britec09 Correct, i use it everyday.
@@Britec09or mac 🤔
@MichaelDustter I know scary, I wonder if Windows is going down that path.
@MichaelDustter sadly, we wake up when its too late.
Can I use Policy Plus with windows 10 pro?
