Oh wow.....I so enjoyed this video and watching you experiment with the wax and colors. New to your subscribers as this was my first video.....I will be a follower from here on. Thank you so much. I learned so much. I have wanted to get into embossing and now I feel a bit more educated on the possibilities, also I will be using my wax in new ways.....😊😊
Almost bought that "my mini" for cooking. LolI did wax seals YEARS ago when it was sticks of was like a candle, lit it,and dripped on envelope. I like the way you melted them. No open flame. Never saw or thought embossing powder could be melted that way. I make cards and have a heat gun,it's noisey. Clear powder, would show all your colors you put on wood pieces. There are soo many colors you can use, even a chunky embossing powder. I enjoyed watching all you did. Always watching about card making. I'm a crafter, sewer, quilter, carmaker now, from way back.Still hands into whatever I can. Lol Thanks for Sharing. Can't wait to see what is next.. have a great day and Happy Crafting.
Great Video! I bought a 3 pack of this pancake maker from QVC years ago. I have only ever needed one so the other two just sat in a cabinet. Now they will have a purpose! haha Also, there are 'seals' you can use on the back of the wax seals to help adhere them to your paper. They are double sided, almost like the red-line tape, but round and made for the wax. Have a great Easter holiday, if you celebrate - at least have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Sherri! Your video came up in my feed, and I've never heard about this mini pancake business! How fun to discover something new by such a nice crafter! Looking forward to poking around your channel and seeing what else you have going on!
You do understand that the melts are more plastic than wax. When they get too hot the plastic breaks down and becomes too thin. I dont use those plastic melts at all. I use true wax bought from dollar tree and get color from hobby lobby. Melt in batches. Use key ring circles as molds, on silicone baking mats. Fill and stamp as you fill the rings. Dip your seal in oil between seals. Helps the release. Good luck!
You are right....I've got plastic melts and, as 'convenient' as they are for the spoon, I much prefer the real wax - I especially like the wax sticks as I love the organic, true look of wax seals on letters, envelopes etc. They even make a sound that's 'plastic' when you compare them to wax when you drop them on a surface.
Hi Sherri 👋 from Kentucky 🇺🇲 Awesome crafty experiments! Very Cool! 👍 Just received my Kingston wax kit today. 😃 I'll have to get one of those mini ovens. Looks handy for all sorts of crafting ideas. 👍 Thanks for sharing! Happy Crafting ✂️ Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth Bless You and Keep You Safe 🙏
I love this idea! I would rather melt it in the silicone mold and place the stamp in and let it cool, and have less mess, and really nice results! TFS!
Hi Sherri, I'd already ordered a mini today from Walmart based on your last video to put embossing powder on die-cut sentiments it works fantastic! I've since ordered shrinky dink paper so my grandson (6) can stamp, color and I can cook them without using my oven. Not sure I'll ever use it for wax, but it is a great idea! I found Marion Emberson's channel too so I'll be busy!
What a great idea! I don't want to use an open flame For this and I have this minor pancake maker. It came with a little waffle maker and a panini maker. I have never used it. I definitely will now. Great video. Thanks for this idea!
I was going to past on the wax kit but then Beth came on & HSN dropped the price so into the cart it went. Arrived yesterday and I will be playing with this today. Thanks for all the great ideas on the various ways you can use. Hope they come out with a wax refill kit soon.
I got my Thermal Cinch machine today and my Wax seal kit came Saturday. I am glad that I came across your channel. I also have a Dash mini pancake maker so I will definitely use that for melting. Thank you for the video. I just subscribed.
The silicon will be preventing a lot of the heat from the bottom plate melting the wax. Silicon is quite heat resistant. In an oven, it is the heat in the air that cooks, so it doesn’t matter that the cooking form is silicon but these little machines rely on directly heating via the plate. This means that melting through the silicon in this machine is actually not very efficient. In addition, though silicon is used for cooking in an oven, it is not used with heat directly applied to the silicon (for example, having a heating element directly applied to the silicon ) so that could well cause issues, particularly if it was left a bit long in the machine. Just some things to think about …
I tried this method with the wax seal & pancake maker but what I did is I did not open the pancake maker cover as often as you did and my wax seal melted perfectly.
Thanks that was my first time trying it. I’m still learning with it too💕 so you are having fun with the process of it. I like trying different things to make in it.
Thank you so much💕 colored butterfly with HSN Diamond Press Air Brush www.hsn.com/products/diamond-press-electric-air-brush-and-stencil-kit/22497025?query=22497025&isSuggested=true I have a video on using the air brush too💜
I understand, it’s just easier for me so I don’t get marks on my veneer piece with tweezers also not blowing off the powder. You can get the powder thicker on wood pieces to look glass like or metal. That’s why I like using the pancake maker💕 thank you for watching 😘 have a great day!

Welcome, and thank you so much 💕 have fun crafting outside of the box lol 😂
I heat the wax beads with my sizzix embossing tool. Works like a charm. I typically put 3-4 beads 8n the spoon at a time.

Thank you so much 💕 I’m having a grand time with my mini melt. I tried illusions film in the melt and works beautifully no need for an iron.

Funtastic is on your way with one of those pancake makers! Have Happy Easter 🐣
So so smart to put the circle of paper on the back!

It's such fun. I just picked up the pancake maker last weekend. I'm making ephemera for my Grand Canyon travel book.
That terrific! I know I enjoy working with it to
Excellent tutorial. Just got the mini pancake maker from Amazon, learned some things from Kimbo Creates. This looks like a lot of fun.
Thank you so much 💕 got to check out Kimbo now
Just subscribed. I enjoyed this tutorial. Thank you.
Aww thank you so much 😊
Going to go my Walmart and get one of these mini s! Thanks for sharing!
You’re welcome 🤗 have fun with your Mini oven.
I enjoyed your experiments so much. Learned a lot. Thank you.

Brilliant video, thanks for sharing these idea's.

Oh love this!
I love this idea! I would rather melt it in the silicone mold and place the stamp in and let it cool, and have less mess, and really nice results! TFS!
Thank you so much 😊 I feel the same way using the silicone mold.

Have fun 💕
I saw someone use the embossing powder and not have the overflow matter by setting the wood piece on two toothpicks.

Thank you 😊 watching. I hope they come out with fall colors. This kit is adorable and funtastic. Never used wax seals before.
Woohoo your video is going viral 🎉 congrats!
Thank you so much 💕
Very cute & creative! I think you can use your favorite stamps to make impressions in the wax too...
Thank you so much 💕 wow I never thought of using stamps on the wax for impressions 💜 now I will have to try it !
It was in my cart and sold out before I purchased…. Hope they sell it again
Sorry keep checking also look on Kingston crafts esty store maybe she’ll restock it there.
This looks like so much fun! It has made me wonder if enamel dots can be made with perler beads in the tiny pancake maker!
It is a lot of fun. 💕 hum enamel dots I’m thinking it would have to be plastic beads.
Perler beads were melted in ovens years ago to make faux enamel dots. Thanks for sharing! @@Sherribe
@@marciataylor4077 so would it work to attach to wood veneer pieces? Now I got to look for the perler beads
I got my Thermal Cinch machine today and my Wax seal kit came Saturday. I am glad that I came across your channel. I also have a Dash mini pancake maker so I will definitely use that for melting. Thank you for the video. I just subscribed.

Thank you for the information. I do know the silicone gets hot that’s why I used the tool to remove. 💕
You don’t need to buy the wax beads. If you have wax melts for warmers, use them after the smell is gone.
Oh thanks for telling me! That’s a great idea 💕

I think you didn’t let the pink get hot enough 😊 Really like your channel, so I’m a new subbie. Your doing great with this pancake maker and stamps 🌷🌸
Welcome Kim ! Thank you so much for your support 💕 I had wondered too if i didn’t let the pink get hotter. Have a wonderful day 💐🪻
Great video and ideas. How did you colour the butterfly shape please? I couldn't just hear the name. Many thanks 💗

I have a video on using the air brush too💜
Have you ever tried glue dots?
Thank you so much for this video ❤️
Thank you so much 💕 I do use glue dots but never did wax seals before and was worried that the dots wouldn’t stick long enough.
Can the silicone tray with the wax be put in the microwave for maybe 20 seconds or something?
Not sure never tried it. I don’t like using my craft with appliances that I use food, I don’t have an extra microwave to experiment with it.
Cooking the embossing is just to fiddly. I'd rather do it with a heat gun and be done with it.
I understand, it’s just easier for me so I don’t get marks on my veneer piece with tweezers also not blowing off the powder. You can get the powder thicker on wood pieces to look glass like or metal. That’s why I like using the pancake maker💕 thank you for watching 😘 have a great day!
