I can relate to not remembering a loved one's voice once they've passed. I couldn't remember my Dad's voice after he was gone for two years. I cried for days. I had a dream about him a few weeks later . I woke up knowing we had spoken via my dream and I was at peace because he was at peace. My Dad's been gone 25 years now. I still remember his voice. Hold onto all those precious memories you have. You will find so much comfort when you least expect it. Thank you for sharing this. At 61, I realize that I have lived more than I have left to live in years. Once I am gone, I hope my grandson will sit down and think about me with the same respect and love you speak of regarding your grandpa. Stay blessed.

I appreciate your comment. I’m sure your dad is proud of you and at peace. I’m glad you had that dream to give you peace as well.
I have been starting to upload these videos as a way for me to remember my random memories and thoughts, and to see what I looked like and sounded like as I get older. Luckily I also have a lot of footage of my family and dogs. I sometimes fear the day when I lose my parents because I am so close to them.
And I’m sure one day your grandson will think of you like this in the future. You never know the impact you have on somebody, and sometimes they don’t think about it until years later. Thanks for your comment

@@McWickyyyy Thank you as your words are truly appreciated. As much as I have disdain for social media, it does serve a purpose to preserve such memories. I admire your thoughtfulness to not only reflect on the past but to create a memory for yourself and your loved ones for the future. Thank you.
