Ok, I just watched a video called Mini Firepit Review. Alcohol-Fueled. The warning from the product was don't move it while using it. Don’t care about the name brand, don’t use any of them. At least until they find out why it happened and if it was just one brand that can possibly do that.
Their clothing probably caught fire. I wouldn't trust any "table top" fire pit! Where I live, two little girls were horribly burned when they knocked one over while making s'mores. They survived with serious injuries!
There are cases of people catching fire *inside* houses from clothing being too near the fireplace. The house isn't damaged; just the individual. Most people are wearing synthetic fabrics that are flammable when near a large enough flame. Small, concentrated fires like this happen all the time. What's so hard to believe? Also, if the daughter wasn't sitting next to them, and the fire did not flare in her direction, why would she have been burned?
True she would have burnt her palms and if so her hands would have bandages on them. How far were the parents sitting from the fire and she too was sitting nearby but she didn't get burnt even a little, how? May they rest in peace

Somethings not right! No way there is enough fluid or gas in this small device to engulf two people. Why wasn't she burned trying to help? Any firE investigation conducted? Police report? Insurance claims?!!
So you believe she sprayed her parents with the alcohol and lite them on fire, only had the table top one burning so she could blame it? If so she would not seek attention.
Be FAST when lighting propane grills, fire pits etc...the fumes start building immediately and will go up in your face even after only a few seconds.. turn on and immediately light..DO NOT wait
Oh my gosh this is horrible. I can't imagine witnessing this and being so helpless. I have never used or been around one of those devices and never will. Condolences to this woman.
If she used her hands against the flames as she said she did, why are her hands not in bandages? Why is she clapping her hands to play with her dogs, if her hands were used against fire? Fire that caused 3rd degree burns and death of her parents.

Im very sorry. Sending prayers and love.
I dont like or trust regular fire pits. A table top fire pit sounds dangerous because its close to you.
The smell test is not testing in this story!
I agree
We were planning on buying one for son and his wife. Thank you for putting on this information.
Huh? Why wasnt daughter affected by flames? But only her parents were killed?
Ever had a campfire suddenly flare up on you? You watch too much Dateline.
@@texasred2702daughter stated that she used her bare hands to extinguish them. No sign of any problems on her.
Amazing she is so put together for this interview. Wow, courageous daughter! So very sad.
Tragic, but fishy. I'm not sure how sharing this story helps others when there are no details regarding the offending tabletop firepit... This reporting is baffling.
Crap from China is from same factories and sold under many brand names. See it all the time on Amazon, Walmart, etc.
Don’t care about the name brand, don’t use any of them. At least until they find out why it happened and if it was just one brand that can possibly do that.
Daughter doesn't look to upset like to see her hands
@@WickedWhich-xk5fkthe product is called a Flikr tabletop fire pit. Designed and produced by an American company based in Tennessee.
Clapping vigorously for her doggy...
If only they would have stated the brand name of the fire pit.
Flikr.
Parents "engulfed" in flames and no damage to house or daughter???
Exactly.. something stinks
100% correct!!......this woman is suspicious
Because supposedly she was trying to put out the fire on her parents.
She stated that she used her bare hands to extinguish them. No sign of any hand or arm problems. The story is not adding up
True she would have burnt her palms and if so her hands would have bandages on them. How far were the parents sitting from the fire and she too was sitting nearby but she didn't get burnt even a little, how? May they rest in peace
I can't find the words to explain my shock and sadness over this horrific tragedy..this poor woman had to witness this happening to her parents, and what her parents had to endure..it's unthinkable..may they rest in peace, and I am praying for the daughter and the family🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️
These items use rubbing alcohol
So sorry that this happened to you and your parents. My deepest condolences to you and your family 😢.
Oh my gosh this is horrible. I can't imagine witnessing this and being so helpless. I have never used or been around one of those devices and never will. Condolences to this woman.
Thank you for the incredibly important warning!!
I am very sorry for what happened to your beloved parents 💐
I hope you can find your peace again 🌷
If she used her hands against the flames as she said she did, why are her hands not in bandages? Why is she clapping her hands to play with her dogs, if her hands were used against fire? Fire that caused 3rd degree burns and death of her parents.
It was a month ago
My condolences- I cannot fathom your grief - I applaud you sharing your tragedy and speaking up so that this hopefully changes products being sold here and prevents another family from walking down this same road😢
What was there burst of wind? How was she not burned? Who needs a table top fire pit?! If weather is chilly, how about extra clothing layers?
Ambience….gel fuel tin cracked.
@@saythankyou111 Perhaps triggered by rainwater not emptied and super-heated.
Odd comment.
What a terrible tragedy. What she describes sounds like "flame jetting" accident.
Or just go indoors
Poor old couple. Sounds fishy to me! More info please.
Hmmm....fishy, what did you think? I kinda had a moment of doubt while listening....
@@FlipMacz same. Seems legit though. I wish the news channel went into describing how it happened, or what brand it was. That would be helpful.
@@sonofhibbs4425 yeah tru .... I guess for me... it doesn't sit well that both of them had their entire bodies engulfed like that at the same time?? Extremely small tabletop fireplace squirting that much fluid?? Kinda seemed she stumbled when discussing how she tried to put flames out? Also, too calm?? Idk...freaky story. I do hope police investigate ....
@@FlipMacz She also didn't seem injured at all??? If it had been me, I'd be covered in burns from trying to put out the fire. How is she unscathed?
@@ferrisulf so true
OK 1/2 of us are waiting for her to be charged ....not 1 thing about this story makes sense ....and her demeanor is so fricken sus .... She was putting out fire? where are her burns ...WTF
Yep said the same thing I am retired law enforcement. I want to see her hands and how lucky that blow torch didn't get her.
And she seems so happy telling the story
She did seem a little wierd
@@JoyceDurham-s9h a little weird that's what you got out of it. Lol she said she used her hands to put out the fire. Usually people show their injuries and what about damage to the porch??
Something is off about that daughter. Story not believable.
I can’t prove anything but I get the same feeling about her😮
@@ericwiese7479I don't why u think that but to me it does not seem suspicious at all but I do know I don't trust or like fire pits bbq grills or fireworks
No problems with hands or arms, yet she clearly stated that she used her bare hands to extinguish them.
So terribly sorry. There they were celebrating and then a totally unpredictable tragedy. Not just death but awful suffering for all.
But this lady seems to have escape flames of the explosion. What a horrible accident
What a questionable accident...
Suspect and shes the beneficiary to all land house and insurance policies...
"Solo" Stoves were still rather rare until about a year ago when I saw the prices go down and then everyone wanted one.
I cringed when I thought that maybe there would be more accidents if people didn't have it on a solid surface or if someone went by with flowing clothing et cetera.
So sorry that this happened to your family.
That is not a wood burning solo stove, the accident happened from one that uses rubbing alcohol.
@@ArticblueberryCorrect. This is not about a Solo Stove. They are wood burning and do not “explode”.
Dont use gasoline folks
How utterly tragic and horrific for that elderly couple and their family. Deepest sympathies to all
Unimaginably horrible. So sorry her parents went through this.
My deepest condolences to her and her family!🙏😭❤️
A large open flame on a table…….yeah, what could go wrong 😂😂
Two people are dead and you’re laughing.
I’m not an overly emotional person, but man this one really and truly got to me. I couldn’t imagine the dilemma that she was in trying to figure out which parent she should assist first and watching your parents just be taken away from you and your helpless. I really wish that I could give this lady a big hug.
My heart goes out to this woman in her grief.
I pray this woman can sleep at night and not relive the tragedy when she closes her eyes. Something I can't even imagine was her reality. She's very kind to take this personal nightmare and use it to help warn others. Godspeed to her, and may her lovely mom and dad R.I.P. Somehow they are still with her. 🙏 ❤
Thiat was a shame. My condolences to this wonderful daughter. The company should be sued. The product should be recalled.
This is so sad. Sincerest condolences and yes you are helping many including me. Terrible way to loose parents.
Wow, how horrific for a child to witness that. I’m so sorry for her loss
Wait not implying anything but were there any other witnesses to this? How did she not get burned at all? Were her parents still lucid enough to be able to speak and confirm that’s what happened? Something doesn’t seem right.
Good bless you. I can tell from your parents’ eyes they were wonderful people. I hope you find peace and don’t suffer from guilt. God makes wonderful miracles out of pain and suffering.
Thank you for sharing this- I’m so sorry for your loss
She wanted to cash in her inheritance early
She looks quite content to me.
Big, beautiful, old house she inherited though.
something seems off about this lady
Spidey senses came out with this story .. 😢
These things have been dangerous from the outset
Omg what a devastating story. I’m so sorry your family endured this tragedy.
Absolutely heartbreaking.
They’ve come so far in life at 93 and to be taken away like that is awful. I’m so sorry for her loss. 😞
Heartbreaking is right. So sorry to this family for the loss of their beautiful parents in such a tragic way.
Why wasnt she burnt? The fire pit was too close to them? She was at a safe distance and they werent? Fishy story
I’m so sorry for your loss. God Bless you.
Just goes to show how much screaming can help put out a fire
Don’t judge too harshly - I don’t think any of us truly know what we would do if faced with the same situation.
She understandably was in pure panic mode seeing both parents on fire. Not all people can handle a situation such as this as well as others. Geez.
she said nothing about calling 911
Table top and FIRE PIT should NOT go together! Be careful!
Omg ! That is truly horrifying ! I didn't know something like that could happen. I am sorry for your lost.
Absolutely heartbreaking truly sorry for your loss the only solice in this is they both went to heaven together ❤🕊️
Hard to believe. Did someone add something to the pit?
It's not a pit. The whole thing is like 5 inches across. She had to have been over filling it every time she was using it and this time something went wrong from her misuse of the thing.
It’s an effect that happens when you try to refill it while it’s burning, even when it looks like there’s no flame. Here’s an old news clip with a demonstration of the flamethrower ua-cam.com/video/cl86p3ZjuSM/v-deo.htmlsi=TlU_L5jKvaOtE43-

I'm so sorry for this family. What a nightmare. This should not have happened. I hope the good memories of her parents can eventually block out the bad.
I almost bought one of these tabletop fire pits. The fuel for the one I looked at was isopropyl alcohol like you buy in the drug store. Glad I didn't buy it.
Having fire/ smoke alarms does not mean you dont keep fire extinguishers around
