I know the videos are a couple years old but timeless. I have two of these girls I’ve had for over 15 years and I went through them using the videos. They not only look better but also run better. I thought they were quiet before but the only indication they are running is the visual movement. They are such a joy to sew with. I feel I’m carrying on the original sewing joy and tradition they were originally meant to bring to the owners when originally purchased over 70 years ago.

What I did after so much trouble, I pull the motor and rest the screws in their respective wholes, then I connect just the tip of the screws and start tighting lil by lil. Thanks. :)

Very informative. Good tip with the grease on the screwdriver. I usually lift the head up @ about 45° angle to remount the motor. It works for me.

Is it possible to convert a sewing machine from having a potted motor to a belted one?

    Thank you for that video.
    Brilliant as always.
I would like to increase the power of my motor. Can I buy a bigger amp motor none standard? Do you know where you can get them and do you have to come up with a clamp to get it to fit? Thank you.

If your machine as the 'Potted Motor', I would leave it as is. If you have a machine with a more common mounted motor that uses a belt, you can purchase replacement kits online (Ebay) that have a bracket, new motor, and belt that will attach to Singer models, and perhaps others.
