Is Stonejourner better than Aerodactyl? More damage, non-EX, and basic pokemon... requires one more energy but it's a lot easier to get three energy than to draw both the fossil and the Aero, and then give it two.

The risk of stonejourner is starting with him which means you have the opposite of an aggro deck.
