Creekside Solo Camp (and some Tenkara) |

A few days before my trail half-marathon, I wanted to get out and clear my head a little.
Packed my Cloud Up 1, a cheap "tenkara" rod, waders, set of flies, food and coffee and headed up to a small creek I know. Difficult fishing this time of the year with very shallow ponds, almost no insects, lots of string algae to get caught on, and warm water. Mostly nibbles from fish small enough to accidentally inhale.
Catching fish wasn't really the goal, though. Getting out of town for a night, calming my mind, and experimenting with film making gear and techniques was.
All-in-all, a pleasant outing. Learned a lot for future videos regarding audio and camera management. Also realized that I don't really want to be in camera too much. Will probably focus more on the nature side of things in the future.
