I'm not an Orbit, but Day by day, specifically the 'We'll walk on the rainbow, ..., we'll be whole' lines always gave me chills, even after repeat listens. The harmonies are bonuses, definite playlist entry
I love when I feel so excited about a release that I get so hyperbolic that I'm willing to call it the best release of the year, especially because I wouldn't expect a "nugu" company managing a group of LOONA "rejects" having ANY business releasing something THIS good. Any post LOONA project will have to live up, one way or another, to the quality of the "old" LOONA releases. On paper, OEC/ARTMS have it easier, and they're basically working with their OG production team and creative director. Loossemble seemed to have it a lot harder. And then we have this EP. My first listen of this album was late at night, waking through mostly empty streets, and then sitting in a quiet park, to give the album two or three proper listens, and it was six a great experience, that despite all its flaws and after just a few listens, I was willing to call it my favorite release of the year, no matter that there are still quite some months left, and an impending tripleS release is on sight. I've listened to many great releases this year, but if I really, REALLY have to filter them in terms on how strong and lasting impression they have left on me, for one reason or another, I'd need narrow it down to CRAXY's "XX" and LOVElution "Muhan" (tripleS) minis, with several honorable mentions behind. However, LOVElution's mini is probably the one I've vibed to the most, and I'd call my personal favorite release at this point...until "Loossemble" was released. Speaking on just pure musical terms, "Muhan" might be "better", but the emotional significance of " Loossemble" gives it the edge in the end. I'm positive EVOLution's album will be great, although not sure if it will top LOVElution's (wouldn't that be something?), it just won't top the listening experience of listening to this small "miracle". I do have to say I have issues the the album's production, which seems on the lo-fi side, and sound frequently muddy, which stands in stark contrast to the often clean and lush production of LOONA's releases. Although this is something that also helps to "distance" them somehow from their past and gives them a different vibe. If Loossemble and their company keeps this up, they could keep the LOONA's tradition in my heart, and become one of my favorite groups, which they probably already are. I really liked your song breakdown. "Strawberry Soda" is arguably the weakest one on the album, but flows really well with the rest, and offers a nice and enjoyable easy-listening experience. A really great re-debut mini album.
I do wonder if that mixing thing will fix itself once Loossemble find a music team that works. The first release, even with industry veterans, is going to have a teething period. It should be interesting to see if they'll have a set team for at least their title tracks across their discography
It’s a nugu company but the ceo and A&R is another ex block berry employee who worked closely with loona so it’s making sense the sound and the lore being so heavily Loona i mean their name is Loona Assemble and they say it in the song
