Karner Blue Butterfly | Michigan Threatened Species

Collaborative conservation efforts between Michigan Natural Features Inventory and Michigan DNR work together to sustain habitat at the Allegan State Game Area for one of North America’s rarest butterflies, the Karner Blue. During the 50th anniversary of Michigan’s Endangered Species Law, we are celebrating decades of dedicated efforts and partnerships that have protected our state’s most vulnerable plants and animals.
