A very exciting project, hopefully this portrait of one of the visionary directors currently at work in the theater and opera will be completed soon, as it is always a vital contribution to understanding the working methods of important artists in the performing arts, which can be so transitory. To experience a live performance is thrilling and has been part of human experience since earliest times, but to be able to document the special thrill and to bring that experience to wider audiences can be an invaluable asset for imaginative documentation. And this looks to be just such a project in bringing Robert Carsen's work to audiences beyond the proscenium of the theater.
I can not wait to see this documentary. This excerpt is very promising and really makes you want to discover the final film. I was lucky to see some of Peter Friedman's previous films, and I'm sure this documentary is up to the level of masterpiece he's talking about.
