I love the mineral profile of pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds! I buy them in bulk raw and toast them fresh in a tiny bit of avocado oil (maybe a half teaspoon per quarter cup of seeds), just takes a few minutes in the toaster oven, season them up and its a delicious healthy mineral-packed snack!

Supplements, protein powders, bars, produce hauls from Costco. Wow you have helped me change or comfirm so many food choices I buy for my family.
I have teen boys all different needs:
19 year old needs to gain weight thyroid issues,
17yo that needs to tone and lose the extra fat.
Husband so far fast food, sugar junkie: gout, alcoholic
12 year old battling between Dad and Mom values and priorities. Back and forth
Me Mom clean keto changing house incoming food and cooking styles. Been doing this for years reading labels frustrated with finding sugar in so many things as a sugar alcoholic.
When hubby brings home fast food and all eat it (except me [recently keto this year working on lossing fat/ keep my muscle and my oldest son that gluten free thyriod, working on gaining weight and energy) I know lots of issues here. Still positive about change for me and my family. It is hard for my son that works on taking care of his body broken from bad fast food and gluten etc and still struggling with my hubby bad habits even though he has health issues too. My son hasnt seen a lot of change in his body for the last year and energy still low. After 6 months of gluten, sugar free, dairy free he gave up and just started eating the fast foods that would come in because he still had so much trouble with weight gain and energy. Apologies for loaded post.

    Questions!!!!!!❤❤❤❤ And CONFUSION.......
I've read that tree nuts (as well as gluten dairy & soy to name a few others) trigger eczema so I basically stopped eating EVERYTHING. 😕😟 I couldn't handle the swelling burning and severe itch approximately 6 hours after eating some of these things. What are your thoughts? Is there something you can eat that counteracts the effects? And WHY would this happen? I actually feel much better without all of the foods listed above however it's really hard to replace Dairy when everything is almond this and almond that. I've turned into a clean eating person but I've lost so much weight that if I continue without those Foods I'm afraid I'll waste away to nothing. I I have just turned 50 and also given up processed sugar in all forms and caffeine. The effects of giving those things up miraculously stopped all of my menopause symptoms like horrible horrible hot flashes every 20 minutes. I know I've touched on a number of things here however could you try to answer some of them for me I am working out and feeling super good but I don't want to give up everything if I don't have to.

    • @melanieh8398
      @melanieh8398 4 роки тому

@@dana102083 I'm not on any special diet just trying to avoid all the foods that trigger eczema and as a choice I don't do dairy gluten anymore. I eat meat a couple times a week but because I'm highly allergic to tomatoes and don't do dairy I have no idea what kind of sauce do you think I could make I am really limited if I want to feel good every day. Have not tried sprouted nuts but it is a fact about tree nuts triggering skin problems so I'm staying away from them totally

    Hi Thomas,
    Awesome videos!
I have started implementing nuts in my diet, specifically as a post-workout shake.
Is this a smart choice, or is it better, for example to spread out the nuts intake during the day.
    Here is my recipe,
If you have the opportunity I would appreciate a some feed back!.
1 tbsp (4-6 nuts) macadamia nuts
    1 tbsp pecan nuts
    20g spinach
4 tbsp of frozen frozen raspberry and blueberry
    half a tbsp chia seeds
    A few cashews
1,5 scoop of 100% whey protein
    Pure water

I would love to see a breakdown on all the electrolyte powders and beverages at Costco. I’m a big fan of liquid IV but I’m curious to what you think.

Hi Thomas and team! This video about nuts/seeds came at a perfect timing for me and my husband, nuts are a go to snack food and we do shop at costco a bit. The content in this video, shopping for nuts at costco is very informative and will refer back to it a lot! I am wondering about 'almond flour', what is your take on it? I have used it a few times now, to make pancakes, an egg bread(one serving) and now I am a bit worried that it isn't something to be using? Heather and Darrell Hanoski from Deer Valley Saskatchewan, Canada!

Not sure if u get to read all the comments. But I’m not losing any weight on IF. I’m tracking my calories. Doing a moderate fat high protein low carb diet. Been 15days into IF not an ounce down. Definitely feel the inflammation going down. But no fat loss or weight loss

Although you have the knowledge and expertise at a very high level, it is great that you can simplify the understanding to a level I can understand. Not only in this video but in all your videos. Thanks. And great job.

Thomas- Is bloat after nearly every meal normal on Keto? I am 5 weeks in and I cant even have bone broth with our bloating. Fiber intake is ok (15g/day) and I am drinking a lot of water. Not seeing a lot of cruciferous veggies as ive heard it can cause issues. What are your thoughts? Thanks!!

Hi, Thomas, could I ask what do you mean omegas 3 and 6 cancel out?? Also, when we combine nuts, introducing more omega 6, how that could hurt the benefit of omega 3?
