- The DeWalt DWE 7492 table saw is a jobsite saw with really good accuracy, making it the best table saw that you can buy locally here in the Philippines for the price. It has a maximum cut capacity of 77mm height and 83cm width.

Congratulations! Also have this saw and made a small video about it :) It is a really great saw - especially the parallel fence. My only minor „complaints“ are: 1 due to the fence system it is not really possible to use it as a „table extension“ e.g. when cutting longer material on the mitre gauge. 2. the mitre gauge itself: I threw it away and replaced it with a copy of the incra one. 3. Dust extraction hose/y-adapter does not come with it and the Dewalt one with airlock is quite pricy. 4. no soft start. It is not so scary to turn on as some other saws though - so i can live with it 😂A neutral point is that the fence system makes it difficult to add a router if you want to go this way.
Anyway that saw is really great and a pleasure to use and works extremely well and precise „out of the box“. 🙋🏻♀️Anna

I'm from germany and the informations (better: long term reviews) about the saw are rare down here, but:
I noticed a blog from someone who uses this saw with a router built in and he says it's really easy to combine it.
Here in germany you can buy a soft start module on amazon (25 bucks).
Maybe you give it a try on the american amazon platform.

😂 hold on to that! Aftermarket blade for this table saw is hard to find. Will share when I found one. As if now Blade is still cutting fine so theres no need for me to replace.

What this review missed completely is that ALL attachments fit onto the saw. Even the fence fits snuggly under the work plate (upside down on the left), making it into a rectangular package of 68x68x33 cm with nothing sticking out. It's not light, but you can easily carry it with one hand (there's a convenient handle on the right of the saw).
I am now kinda glad that my 745 gave up the ghost after years of use forcing me to buy this unit :o) It's really well thought out design and yay! - dados fit, too. No more multiple passes. Not sure how they managed to push it out with EU rules re. no dados allowed, but I don't really care ;o)

Fits 10" Amana blades as well as 10" DeWalt blades with no issues (254mm)

Dewalt's web site doesn't show this saw DWE 7492 but they do show DWE 7491
Also, I haven't been able to find DWE 7492 for sale only DWE 7491
it is sort of an overseas thing from my understanding... they can't get the 7491, and I suppose it is kinda the opposite for US, might also only be available in metric, but they are the same saw just 1 dB quieter and the blade guard and feet are different. I assume you are US.
The 7492 is the 240V version. The 7491 is for the US market.
Use teflon tape for the miter gauge instead of aluminum tape 😉
I used PTFE tape - took all of 5 minutes to apple. Tiny bit of wobble remains, but at least it's usable now until I build a xcut sled.

I hope hindi late ito comment ko. Last november nag order ako kay Gigatools via lazada. So far COD pa naman. Delivered here sa davao. Yun nga lang, tatawagan k ng staff nila to verify and confirm the order.

I have a new one of these and very impressed. Easy to use and set up. Dust extraction way better than I expected. Only one issue and that’s when I wind the blade down. It just goes down in jerks . Any idea why this should be?

Good saw for what it’s used for but dewalt should fix the slop in the miter gauge ,are you listening Dewalt and you need a zero clearance and still be able to instal the knife ,dewalt there is two improvements you could make to stay ahead of the game ,old jimmy wa

Nice review, did you have any issues with alignment? I could not get the fence 90 degrees to the table and it even went back to Dewalt twice and they couldn’t do it. Not sure if I was just unlucky with the one I got. Any advice welcome as it is definitely the saw I want

You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.

@@paulgonzales1829 it has soft start. But its not that soft..I know someone who feels it doesnt have a soft start and moded it. I came from a TOTAL table saw brand with no soft start. This is much better.
Most people say it doesn't. I added one. It can be done without cutting any wires or voiding the warranty. Starts much more gently now.

Any motor with brushes have these sparks, even your normal drill. It is normal to do this and safe
That is correct. All brush motors has sparks. Its just that spark in this table saw is very noticeable. I got used to it in a couple of days
You are in the Philippines so why would you care about the noise, or maybe you are saying it is to quiet and you will need to make it louder.

Yes may spark sya, but I think normal lang for brushed motor. In terms naman sa paginit di ko pa nagamit ng ganun katagal since DIY/hobbyist lang naman ako and fairly new pa ang unit sakin.

Hi, I am from India. I baught this saw today evening. Since there were no blade included in the package I had to buy the blade separately. The local store has installed a 255 mm blade in it and when I checked it was rotating smoothly. However I have not switched on the saw till now (which I will do tomorrow morning). Would you recommend to continue with the 255 mm blade or is there any safety issue? Your response is appreciated.
Use a de 250mm
Normally a bigger blade will not even rotate because there parts inside in the way.

Bosch have eco for wood blades tho these are in the lower tier in terms of quality. Freud has also have 30mmx250mm blades pero sa amazon uk ko nakita.

This is a jobsite saw. Based on price, it consider fair for the built and mobility. I bought other maker with higher price but disappointed with the quality. Yeah in reality, those maker only needs profit.. but to be honest this one is the fair one in the market
@@jaguarchua This guy posts this same pointless rant on many Dewalt table saw reviews. If you want a saw with an easy to use, accurate fence in a small table saw there are almost no other options. I think there is one other make that uses rack and pinion. Another thing to watch out for is that some manufacturers use non-standard mitre slots on their small table saws. That means you can't easily use an aftermarket mitre gauge. Dewalt uses the standard size slot. Many of the other brands do not offer dust collection from both the top and back. Dewalt does.
The Dewalt is by no means perfect and it could certainly be improved, but there is good reason why so many owners have good things to say about it.
Of course if you have the space and money you're better off getting something bigger. The Laguna F1 gets good reviews.

All saws release a lot of dust. Unlike many of the competitors Dewalt have the option of dust collection from the top and back. The consumer can buy the 7491 which is close to the same saw, if they want a 110V version. The flange size is pretty standard, the same as used by other makes. The cutting edge is perfectly straight when properly calibrated. 250mm is a good blade size and there are many options in the markets in which this model is sold.
