    Chunks are groups of words that can be found together in language, such as fixed collocations.

    Yes, it is important to correct pronunciation errors. If someone presents themselves as a teacher, they should pay more attention when teaching. That’s why I approve of Kevin and Liza’s work!

    Language chunks are patterns of words that are regularly used together in the same (or nearly the same) order. Collocations, phrasal verbs, fixed (and semi-fixed) expressions, verb patterns, idioms, and more can all be considered 'chunks'.
    It’s something that I was taught while getting my TESOL certificate in the UK

      I'm sure dictionaries are correct, there's no doubt about it pal BUT when speaking fast some or maybe all natives in the USA don't pronounce it or barely pronounce it. I've never been to United Kingdom but I guess they do pronounce it.
      Besides, there might be exceptions.
      Remember that not all native English speakers speak according to the Grammar rules of their own language.

    A chunk is a piece, commonly a big one. A chunk of money, a chunk of ice, data chunk. By chunks she means a group of words with well known definition. Make a long story short, a pattern of two or more words. “as far as I am concerned, to the best of my knowledge, something like that” and so on

    Hi Kevin, I honestly don't know what she meant to say either but I guess I've got a slight idea and I think she meant to say "Chats" but she doesn't know how to pronounce it.
    And since you know Spanish Kevin, and as you well know "chats" means "charla" and maybe she confused it with "phrase" which means "frase" in spanish, I guess she should've said;
    - "you can use one of these "phrases" NOT chats.
    Well that's how I see it but I'm not really sure. 😊👍.

    Yeah Kevin, I guess she meant to say "creative" 'cause as far as I know the word "gregative" doesn't exist in English but I might be wrong, you're the one who can clear that up Kevin.
    I think she made that up or she doesn't know how to pronounce the word "creative".

    Hi Kevin . I don't know why she used this word , as it seems to me she used " You can use some chants" because one of the meanings of this word in the Russian language is " речевка" . Your wife Liza is supposed to know this word as she teaches the Russian language . But we don't use this word in this context in Russia .

    • @roger26714

      I agree. From my point of view, many mistakes that she made can be noticed by a native English speaker...and of course, they would noticed it right away. For those who are still struggling to learn English, there are a whole bunch of other things to be learned. Pointing out that you should not say "baeaetter" when you mean better, or "napkean" instead of napkin, sometimes is a bit out of context. Anyone can fix these pronounciation mistakes over time. Maybe Kevin don't agree with this. The way he sees that, it is such a huge mistake! But I bet any English speaker would know what they mean from the context in a everyday situation. Some pronounciation sounds are very suttle to non native English speakers. He could still point out these things but not being so sarcastic. I don't mean to be unfair, ' cause Kevin is such a great teacher, but this is just my opinion about that.
