I really enjoyed Deliver Us The Moon! If you'd like to join me live for future playthroughs of games that I review, hop over to my Twitch channel and join the adventures! www.twitch.tv/markgfl
I remember playing a game called defcon 5 which was a very tense atmospheric game where you had to complete tasks quickly or you had to really use your brain to figure out puzzles this kinda reminds me of this love games where you explore and have to use you brain to figure out puzzles get through areas pat situations
I don't remember Defcon 5, but the timer in this certainly adds an element of pressure when trying to solve puzzles before the air runs out! Very satisfying when you get it right though.
@@MarksGameReviews cool defcon 5 was a weird game you got sent to this moonbase that had gone dark so you had to bring the base back online bring the bases defenses online But these homicidal robots turn up board the base and roam around so you have to be constantly on your toes and can be killed if you run into them or they can kill you while you're doing a puzzle had that a few times so you have to fix the bases defenses and escape dead space I remember had a similar challenging experience where you had a limited amount of air supply when you went outside to repair things but I love those kind of games where you explore and have to figure out what to do or where to go next
I have heard about this game recently, and now watching your review yeah I must say it looks rather interesting, might try it out next time I come across it! glad to have someone doing these no-nonsense reviews, there is a distinct lack of those on youtube overall
Thanks! I played it through Game Pass for PC, £1 for the first three months of membership so an absolute bargain :) I also found Plague Tale: Innocence on there, another excellent game that I should be releasing my review for later today.
It's one of those games I play when I just want to relax. Deliver us Mars is a nice follow-up but I still prefer DutM. Oh and just a tip for a comparibly relax, yet different game set in space where you don't have to compete for anything, no timed challenges, just solving a mystery at your own pace in a space station; give Tacoma a try, you'll probably like it if you like Dutm.
Finally got around to watching this! Great review as always. In case you forgot to write it down: Observation + Stories Untold are 2 games I really recommend Observation - also on GamePass! Observation is basically this game, but better in any way and aspect (at least for me). Soundtrack was a tiny bit better, story was incredible, even better than this one, it's longer (don't remember how much but at least 6 hours? a little bit longer). Maybe graphics are a little worse, but it's compensated by the fact that there are faces there, unlike in this game! And.. well, you will see what else. Stories Untold is by the same studio of Observation (their first game) and although it's not as good as observation by far, it's still great, and the story still has many twists and turns. It's much more... unique, as it has 3 chapters and each one is played very differently. Not on Game Pass sadly, but it is on GOG and pretty cheap! Do try Observation first though, and if you love it as much as I did then you can try this one too :)
Game pass has been excellent for me lately. First this, then Plague Tale Innocence, and now Crusader Kings 3. Plus all the games I've been playing on the Xbox with the kids since Christmas!
I can understand it, they were there for the tanks more than me. But it gives me the chance to build a new community around this channel doing something I love :)
@@MarksGameReviews definitely makes sense, and the nice thing about more diverse content is you know people are there for you over the game :3 Should be a stronger community
Really enjoyed this game UNTIL the challenge that this video shows in its opening. This particular challenge is a timed event and I hate the way, at least on my XBox One platform, the character's body movement changes direction much faster than the viewing angle does. So, unlike the player in this review, I had only 2 minutes remaining (after the game saved when I failed my first attempt at the 2nd tower) to make additional attempts at completing the challenge. Basically, you're trying to sprint around a circular broken tower, avoiding pitfalls etc, and the character's head keeps trying to look to where the current viewing angle is pointing rather than where you have his feet pointed because the viewing angle changes too slowly. Now, if you had the option of changing viewing angles to where you are not clumsily following behind the character, as you do with most games, you wouldn't need to align the character with the viewing angle so that you can move him AND actually see ahead a bit. Needless to say, it makes micro adjustments critical as you're racing and I am not that good apparently.
Yes I think I remember having the odd issue with camera angles. It didn't happen often enough to spoil my enjoyment of the game but I can understand it might for others.
Looks interesting enough. I generally dislike short timers on exploration style games, subnautica got away with it because you could beacon the annoying areas locations and the air was only a short swim away once you had the moth/cyclops/prawn but most others so not handle times sections anywhere near that sensibly. as to the movie comparisons most games lack replay for a specific reason, puzzles are generally one n done, long walks are tedious once the place is known to lack interactivity and a movie is 90-180 minutes while most games measure in the 10-50 hour range while also deliberately hiding most of their more interesting story elements both in subtext and by literally placing recordings, news or lore items behind immovable panels that are only just slightly leaning, or in random cupboards or simply have so many that you need a guide to find them.
I'm tired of these "still worth playing" videos! Don't any of you have any originality at all? More importantly, any game is still worth playing if you enjoy it.
@@MarksGameReviews Making a dimwitted comment because you're an immature loser who can't converse beyond the intellect of a child. I didn't "watch" your video.
