- Thanks to Paul Szmal for helping tell the story of "Barefoot" Bob McCreadie as only "The Cowboy" could. Of his hundreds of career wins, he had the most at any single track with 99 right here at Land of Legends Raceway!

That's what drew me to Bob. Everyone in the pits had big rigs. Bob would show up with a pick-up truck and a rusty old trailer and woop Everyone!
RIP Barefoot!!!!
I grew up in upstate NY. Fonda regular with my dad. Everyone knew when "barefoot" Bob showed up for the big events , and always put on a fantastic show. RIP #9😢
This was well put together video honoring Bob. I watched him at Fonda and Cayuga and the commentary in your video sums up my experience and memories of watching him race.
I got to meet him a volusia in the 80s, we camped at the same camp ground for a few nights. He was a really nice guy to be around. RIP
I watched him do something almost unheard of. It was a regular show at Brewerton. He finished 3rd in his heat. He pulled in his pit and parked the primary car for the night due to an issue. Brought out his backup car to qualify through the last chance race. Drove from deep in the A-main to take the lead with 1 or 2 laps to go to win it!! Unreal.
One of a kind, legendary.
A Top Notch Racer And A Top Notch Human Being, R.I.P. Bob!! We Will Miss You!! Heaven Got Themselves A Superstar And A Legend!!
R.I.P Bob McCready and you'll be missed
Saw him win Syracuse, and many races ,then I started to helping other drivers and he was tough to beat ,RIP Bearfoot 😎
I too grew up watching Bob race modifieds at Fonda and supermodifieds at Oswego. RIP.
No one else "Backed it in" Like Barefoot Bob.
Well done...wished I saw him race.
One of the greats!
I grew up watching "barefoot bobb" he was the champion, i can name so many from can am speedway,
Saw him a few times at Fonda in my youth but the family moved to Maryland so I missed out on a lot of racing memories. Bob was always one of my dad's favorite drivers. I remember watching super dirt week on TV and dad always pointing him out when he was on camera. Barefoot Bob, Dave Lape and Jumpin' Jack. We've lost some real legends lately
