This game is just dumb, you cant see the gamer driving on his mortorcycle behind you but you can see the bike? We have only 2 cars but you can wash your eyes now? They took the planes out of the game but you have a useless Bicycle. They made a modular Building system where you cant warm yourself in your house. You have to change your clothes 3 Times a day because it gets to warm or to cold. You have to watch your micro elements like your vitamins and stuff but you can get killed with 1 bullet. You die more than you can piss because your bladder is full all the time. You have the Animation that your character pulls down his pants to pee but he doesnt actually pull down his pants. so you pee in your pants all the time. The List would be endless, the game is not to bad but the Developer dont know what they want. Do they want a hardcore Survival game where you have to watch the littlest things you do even your hand abrasion while you jerking off or do they want a pvp game? Both together doesnt really work well. Im just pissed because i really love this game but they didnt make it better the last patches.
Not sure if you know, but while playing in 3rd person, players wont render unless they are in your character's first person line of sight. It prevents 3rd person corner peaking.
I’ll take just not doing 3pp servers over having attribute based pvp. Hopefully when modding comes , if it does , they can have servers without attributes .
@@redshift912 believe it or not but the attribute system doesnt make much of a difference in terms of pvp in Scum. most of it applies to the survival/pve elements of the game. yes, theres skills for weapons and melee, but apart from a bit better accuracy over long range, theres not much difference between no skill and advanced skill

you just have to remember in Scum you cannot corner peak players. you can only see what you physically can look at, any ai/npc don't follow the same rule, and this drives a lot of newer players away because they are unaware of this mechanic.. and also join a squad as it indicates who your teammates are therefore eliminating the confusion of mistaken mates.
@Repo-Manthe movement is awesome with scrolling and the crouching too. They advertised their game since the beginning with this tech, so you can enjoy a third Person game (because some people want to look at their gear) without the most stupid thing called corner peeking. No Camping people behind Walls watching the whole Street.
This is the first game i bought at launch, and it was pretty cool to play with a group a people. Unfortunately, after a year or two, the game was very laggy. Then, almost one year ago, they optimised the game so well that i could finally play it again on my potato without fps drops. Now I'm waiting for my new PC and also the release of the mutant's major update to re-explore the game from a fresh eye.
i find it better to outcircle the puppet. just make sure ur using first person for better accuracy. and bear in mind, the bigger the weapon and the lower your strength stat, will gas your stamina out after 1 or 2 swings, making your shots barely effective. something mid size like a cleaver for example has a good length, weight and can stumble/stun a zombie interrupting them long enough for you to circle behind and swing at their head. a metal baseball bat or a wooden one with nails can be an easy puppet killer too. buy a katana if you've got the attributes and the cash 😆

It’s actually hot garbage and the devs decided a cooking update was necessary when the game is far from finished. So many dumb rules you have to play by to squeeze out a tiny bit of fun after looting for hours.
Yeah ... not much changed over the last 5 years ... still no survival game, still no meaningfull Metabolism and stuff, still no base building or other essentials ... just pure loot and shot and some Zombies^^
It's just sad you chose to do your "come back" with scum on a max loot bot shop server and not a server that is more vanilla. And as some mentioned already - you can't 3rd person peek in SCUM (only for puppets and mechs, not players). If you can't see them in 1st person you can't see them in third. Also, read up on the skills attributes. They can make a lot of difference. Also the server list on scum only really ranks the servers after current player count. It does not mean it's the most popular server - well, that would be only for the moment. Check Battlemetrics instead ;)
Noobland server is 10x loot amd for me not fun at all. I dont want to search every single container and always find multiple items every time. Theres zero survival element in that sever and ruins the immersion.
vendors selling army level weps and gear ruined the game a bit for me , they should sell shitty stuff and you should have to earn military gear by exploring the army bases

this lag is why I avoid these servers that have max everything, max puppets and player count past 64. AND the 200 or so active players rotating thru the server are stashing crates and building bases all over the map. Sometimes the admins themselves build huge structures too. Its all too much for the servers. The devs recently dropped puppet numbers and changed how animals spawn on official servers for partly this reason. Yeah that server does not look fun at all.
this is literally every official/vanilla server with 20+ players... it's rubber band central... people have been complaining about shit netcode ( bought from the asset store ) since day one but they always get shut down by dumb devs and fanboys...

I have run into plenty of Chinese in the Au servers and even they don't lag anything like in this vid. I played from Aus with a friend in Poland and Saudi Arabia and UK. We chose a Russian server official. It was fine other than the Saudi had slow internet coz a house full of users and she would get bad rubber banding but the rest of us were fine. Yes the netcode needs work, but watch this video again. That is completely unplayable. And you Tryna say all servers look like that. Hahaha. Clown.. if they were no one at all would be playing... AT ALL. Get it facts right.

Cartoony movement animations make this seem even worse as your player is randomly changing stances and skipping animations. You can't run over a person because they are teleporting , can't hit another car, your car just swaps positions on the map randomly because you're moving too fast and it desyncs with the server.. The only servers which "don't lag" under 30 players are the ones that have puppets and mechs turned off.. Holy crap dude, even devs know theserver performance/netcode is dogshit so they had to remove complete wildlife from the game now and turn it into a minigame... They removed half of "content" they've implemented, just to make servers run smoother ( for example, shut down most of buildings in samobor and added "fog" to make the game smoother because it tanked server performance..). They Added a new city Krsko with copy pasted 40 buildings that have one apartment in them.. what a joke.. get real... but hey they'll probably add a "pubes length" slider instead of fixing glaring issues..
I just re installed and started playing again, tried official servers first with lowest ping and anytime I run into another player it lags out like hell if they move around fast, not sure if that’s a official server thing as I also struggle to join servers takes me a long time to load in an usually disconnects several times while loading this also leads me to believe maybe my net speed is just trash for scum
Helpful tip. When in bunkers close all doors you open ASAP. Bunkers and high loot points of interest have more densely packed spawner nodes. These nodes (depending on server settings) can and will activate multiple times while moving through the bunker. This means that you will end up having the puppet you just shot 30 seconds ago respawn right behind you. Since you didn't close that door behind you any new puppets that have spawned that didn't know your location, now do, due to all the noise you make while existing. Second helpful tip is that the two meters that are displayed on top of your characters head in the bottom left of the HUD. These two meters have purpose and work beautifully to manage the sound you are emitting and the one on the left lights up when you are currently visible to a hostile entity. When you don't close doors it not only makes the bunker much more difficult and stressful for yourself but all others who come later. Open doors will be shut when the server restarts, possibly hours from when you opened them.
Its a pretty game and plays out pretty smooth and they might have got ahold of DayZ cars but if they don't start in on any of the empty promises they've made over the last 3 years, it will never be a survival game. Just a cod style run and gun.

The lag is ass because of the max loot server. They are shit. Look for a normal server to play on that is in your region as well. Totally different experience.
My advice would be wait for it to be polished. The bugs quickly override the fun factor. I played for hundreds of hours, then stopped because the dev's haven't fixed bugs from launch. Still it's up to you :)

As soon as the game came out, I immediately bought it. But after playing for 3 hours I turned it off and haven’t played since then. It’s just annoying that you have to go to each box and press a button to search it. This is so fucked up! The worst looting mechanic ever! I hated this game!
Still in this game, each zombie attack is guaranteed bleeding? Because if so, this game is still disqualified. A simulator of wearing and applying bandages is not my thing.
Garbage game. Claims there is detailed and realistic metabolism feature but they went the wrong way about it. The body stat and nutrition feature is horrendous, the amount of information it’s gives you is too much. It’s like you’re sitting on a hospital bed hooked up to machines getting information about your body but you’re actually running around in the wilderness getting all this information.
This game sucks and the graphics are horrible. You can search a thousand houses and wont find a single gun. The only way to find loot is to mod the game. Instead of fixing the game they add a Danny Trejo skin for $15 😂 if you're thinking about buying this game just save your money its absolute garbage.
the lags are painful to watch lol, also painful to play thats why im only interested in singleplayer. since 2018 every populated server is lagging hard :/ but im still having fun in singleplayer

That's not true. It isn't any different than what DayZ and most other survival games have. If anything it's even harder than DayZ's traders because it's really really difficult to grind for money in SCUM. That being said... DayZ is better imho. You have more things to do and it's way more fun because building mechanics are a lot better than SCUM's. 🤷♂

not a bad game , just boring. no servers that have variety or mods , development is insanely slow and content is consistent but doesn't really change core gameplay and i think at this point alot of people have given up on it. i used to play a combat and battle royale server but they are since gone (rest are all too high ping)

I had a 1050ti and 8GB RAM and it worked well for me on low graphics after the big optimisation update

If your fighting a zombie with a melee always move back to avoid hits after every hit
Also if you are in third person you can press H key to toggle between free and auto aim it only works in third person for melee combat

yeah game is so congested with HAVE to do activities with no time to get all required things to survive its functionally no longer worth playing.
For a game that was pitched and sold as a rough survival game they spent most of the past 5 years on implementing a meh PvP system.
Was an avid DayZ player. I just bought thia game it has all the stuff that mess was missing.

As soon as the game came out, I immediately bought it. But after playing for 3 hours I turned it off and haven’t played since then. It’s just annoying that you have to go to each box and press a button to search it. This is so fucked up! The worst looting mechanic ever! I hated this game!
Still in this game, each zombie attack is guaranteed bleeding? Because if so, this game is still disqualified. A simulator of wearing and applying bandages is not my thing.
Garbage game. Claims there is detailed and realistic metabolism feature but they went the wrong way about it. The body stat and nutrition feature is horrendous, the amount of information it’s gives you is too much. It’s like you’re sitting on a hospital bed hooked up to machines getting information about your body but you’re actually running around in the wilderness getting all this information.
This game sucks and the graphics are horrible. You can search a thousand houses and wont find a single gun. The only way to find loot is to mod the game. Instead of fixing the game they add a Danny Trejo skin for $15 😂 if you're thinking about buying this game just save your money its absolute garbage.
the lags are painful to watch lol, also painful to play thats why im only interested in singleplayer. since 2018 every populated server is lagging hard :/
but im still having fun in singleplayer

That's not true. It isn't any different than what DayZ and most other survival games have. If anything it's even harder than DayZ's traders because it's really really difficult to grind for money in SCUM.
That being said... DayZ is better imho. You have more things to do and it's way more fun because building mechanics are a lot better than SCUM's. 🤷♂

I really can't stand when games have timers for looting. It's lazy game design and I just sit there watching my time drift away.

and can see people like in pubg(while u hug the wall and try to look using the "pubg" tactic if u on 3rd person shooter. only in 1st person(if u can see in 1st peron 3rd peron cant see it) from my experience
This game coulda been great. But it never reached any of its potential. And it was already overrun by cheaters.
I remember almost liking this game, even bought a better video card just to play it.... but the game still sucks.
not a bad game , just boring. no servers that have variety or mods , development is insanely slow and content is consistent but doesn't really change core gameplay and i think at this point alot of people have given up on it. i used to play a combat and battle royale server but they are since gone (rest are all too high ping)

Lol no way better than dayz only the graphics maybe. scum is really boring and feels empty. I play both but like scum I get bored in a hour there is no special or rare loot because you can buy everything you want in the marketplace. It’s more like a open pubg without storm
