Am I the only one who thought that updated Salma was really good? Also Salma's surname is "Al-Arabi" which is a common surname in the Middle East like Saudi Arabia and Iran. I personally think Salma is from the Middle East rather than Egypt.
I have a lot of coworkers that are from northern africa (algeria, morocco, egypt, tunisia, etc) and the culture there is very arabic and Salma is a pretty common name there too. I get your point with the middle east but it also spreads to north african countries.
It's nice to see other ideas too, this is just what I thought. Slight oversight with the "not Egypt" seeing as technically Egypt is in the Middle East...

While I appreciate that she's more "authentic", I feel about Salma how Clare feels about Lilith - you can't improve the original, she was perfection! I loved James and Jesse, and Roxy looked great but I hate the hair. I loved Roxy's iconic slick black hair. She was the original dark and twisty girl and I was always bummed when Clare kept changing her out of her black hair. It made her eyes pop so much! But at the end of the day, I loved seeing the OGS!! They were the best!!
I like all of them personally. Like they just feel a bit more.... nuanced I think. A little more alive, compared to their originals, however there was nothing wrong with the originals either, and Salma will have always been iconic :D. See with Roxy, I like that hair, but it doesn't feel like her hair. She always had very long and very straight hair, so I sorta have that image of her. Like hair so long that it reaches her hips and completely straight. And black like you said, though she definitely had a lot of hairstyles and colors over the series lol. However I feel like the other three are spot on, although maybe James would wear a bit more low key jackets. So like the same jacket, just without anything on it imo.

I think it's because she's going off of memory, which was a long time ago. While some of us have watched the series more recently, like I binged it last summer when I finally committed to catching up and getting the back story.
I hate to say this but Clare’s caught the disease... She’s beginning to only creating sims and homes and not playing the game like the rest of us have...It always happens with the Sims when you have too much CC
Clare is playing sims since 2017 I think and she mentioned many times on discord, on twitter and even in her videos that she is burned out with playing only one game all the time. It happens to all of us. Sometimes I play sims for many hours and then I don't touch my game for months. So I totally understand her. Clare should do whatever she enjoys the most. ❤
