Can we get a Podcast already from you? Lol you already have the epic background!
Haha yeah the vhs background would be great
Yes we really want to see a sit down podcast in addition to your adventurous videos.
I called the U.S department of Authentication. and I explaimed to the lady China was not part of the Hague convention. She still told me I did not needed to Authenticate my copies.....
Thank you so much, this video has helped me a lot.
Thank you. This was a great video and it really helped.
Solid video
China joined the Hague System on February 5, 2022, therefore apostilled documents would be acceptable forms of authentication.
Thanks for all of the info. I'm actually just starting the Process(Also getting the passport renewed since it ran out of Visa space). Trying to return for August/Sep. I'm in a similar situation with the consulate as I'm in Georgia(I'll probably use a company to do the authentication. I think they'll def save some time and be able to get across the No Houston consulate situation). Good luck to us both haha.
I didnt know this at the time i made the video, but make sure you only authenticate the FBI report with the us department of state (skip local level). If its a local or state level background check, then it has to be done at the state level and then again at the us department of state. I tried emailing everyone I could about skipping the department of state, but everyone shot me down including the chinese embassy. If you can find a way let me know. The us department of state has completely screwed my whole gig. They took so long that my original notary expired. Good luck to you too. Hope you make it over there!
@@globalvagrant1392 thanks that’s definitely good to know. And yeah it looks like the department of state can def take a while.
I miss the days when it was easy to get a job in China and just pay for a visa every year. Tha'ts the only reason why I left last year and moved to Thailand. Still miss China.
Yeah its killing me!
I agree. I left china too. What’s needed in Thailand?
I need expedited service for Chinaembassy authentication. How to do that?
By sending off your documents to the Chinese Embassy.
Covid really killed my whole application. Not sure if it's the same as it was. Things may have changed since then
I've been still dealing with it
Just found out that the dept of state took so long the original notary expired lol so now I'm screwed with china hoping I can slide into taiwan
Such a nightmare
@Global Vagrant , any luck with Taiwan? I was thinking of going to Hangzhou to teach English too, but these days the government seems to be getting more extreme. So I'm also thinking of going to Taipei, the only thing is for the government program you need to have a teaching license/ certificate, I have a masters in education, TEFL and 4 years experience but no license...
I’m having trouble with getting my documents notarized. Is it ok for you take the docs to a local notary public with a statement saying something along the lines of “this is a true unaltered copy of the original?” Or do you need to request the documents notarized at the time of issue? I didn’t request them notarized at the time of issue and instead wrote a statement and had it notarized at a local notary public. You think I will have issues?
I took my original documents to the notary and had her notarize copies. I put the statement saying this is a true and unaltered copy on the copies and sent that on to be authenticated by the us secretary of state. I have heard that you will need that statement, but im not sure if thats true.
Global Vagrant thanks that’s what I did.
Good luck! The department of state took so long that my original notary expired. Now I'm having to start over from scratch
Global Vagrant luckily I’m in nj and only need the state level. Shit is exhausting. Been waiting for a year nle
Have you ever been to Japan 🗾?🤭
