By my lights, the song demands a bit of the audience by not having an immediately catchy beat. Also it’s a deep track off 1 of the best (if not the the best) alternative/rock album of the decade. So many good tracks on that album and it’s a great album as a whole.
Agree, Brandon is amazing writing and singing. He is incredibly motivating unlike many others from the same music era, for me that is what makes him who he is.
This what I love about The Killers! Most bands/artists are just interested in playing the greatest hits and a few songs from their latest album...90 minutes and the show is over. But these guys are all over the place with their catalogue...the play the hits, the new stuff, and they still find the time and space to hit you with some deep cuts and even a cover or two. Best band of the 21st century, in my humble opinion!
In my opinion these is one of the best songs of The Killers, I don't understand why many people don't know the song!!
