How hard would it be to have the scoreboard show the time the player got out and, in infection mode, show who tagged 'em? Also, per chance, show a notification on the seeker's side when they hit somebody?
To actually make H&S work in this, the lag compensation needs to be reversed. In MKWii, lag compensation always gives the victim the benefit of the doubt. A player is only hit if the item hits them on their screen. What makes this worse is that your game only syncs with the others every 1/3 second (20 frames). H&S would need to reconfigure the lag compensation to benefit the attacker in order to fix the lag issue.
While that's true, it makes it very very frustrating for hiders to just get hit without ever seeing the seeker. Personally I feel this method is better. Sadly it's never going to be perfect.
But I do believe this should be done, as it does punish players for just having the worst internet, but I guess the worst thing to happen is if a bunch of people are together and someone suddenly turns into a seeker and catches everyone.
