- Land Rover is researching a new remote control technology that represents a stepping stone towards the fully autonomous car. It could be used by the driver to manoeuvre their car out of difficult situations safely or negotiate challenging terrain, whilst walking alongside the car at a maximum speed of 4mph.
The Multi-Point Turn Range Rover Sport is also capable of autonomously manoeuvring through 180 degrees, with the system taking over gear selection, steering, braking and acceleration. - Авто та транспорт

Awesome technology on LR car, it doesn't need smart remote key like BMW 7-series 2016. With LR just need a phone and app. I hope LR will add them on their car soon.

This is fantastic technology - way to go! Cant wait for this technology to come out so that I can finally fit my car into my very small and tight garage. Right now, I have to crawl out the boot if I park it there.

I wish Land Rover was a BMW Group subsidiary because we would appreciate sharing innovations like these within the BMW AG family, along with maintaining our household brands unique purpose built characteristics considering that Land Rover has unmatched off road capabilities. Having Jaguar on board would also be a delightful pleasure especially if we can launch the new XJR, and XKR that seem to have been discontinued which is a tragedy, a tremendous loss to the automotive industry, and individuals like myself who set goals of adding these choice vehicles to our envisaged fleet.
I saw the exquisite good looking Sir Lewis Hamilton promoting this autonomous driving technology on the new Mercedes Benz S Class. I thought Land Rover was going to introduce it some time back when I first saw this video.

Its similar to what happens when someone steals your car key. Atleast phone app would have a passcode.
Phone opens with registered fingerprints/faceIDs which are not so easy to steal or replicate.
