Both are amazing in their own way. Khabib is the most dominant fighter I have ever seen since watching mma since 1993 and Islam is one of the most well rounded I have ever seen. Champs!

Habib is stronger. You see how skilled it Islam. I think he finds it harder to cut the weight. When the weight cut happened, he dehydrated and would not fully recover

they complain about Khabib wrestling and not standing up.Now they complaint that Islam is not doing what Khabib did😂😂....its clear that if you stand up and trade,both fighters end up hurting each other,Khabib avoided trading at all cost....The only fight Islam lost was because he decided to stand and trade,if not he was clearly winning the fight.

Maybe Islam is more skilled. Khabib looks way smarter than Islam during a fight: the way how he dominated Poirier and Gaethie without physical damage... out of this world. I also think that Khabib has a better chin than Islam.

People underrate Islam because he stands with the strikers in their domain for much longer whereas Khabib, short of round 1 with Gaethje or 3 with Conor, where he was typically somewhat holding his own but otherwise getting outclassed, would generally just wrestle dominate strikers. Islam had times of out-boxing Poirier while Khabib almost outright refused to stand with him and relied on much superior wrestling.
imo khabib actually outstruck connor for most of the fight except for that stretch in round 3. he landed a lot but the crowd didnt react so its hard to tell. he also landed the best shot of the fight. but connor obviously is the better striker, it must be the takedown threat that makes khabib/ islam striking so much more effective
1 Arman almost got finished by Charles. He was literally saved by the bell on 2 occasions. That split decision victory was questionable. He needs to fight Gaethje next and then should be considered for contention.
2 That fight already took place in 2019. Islam won clearly.
3 Arman is a boring fighter ,he lost to Gamrot . It was a snooze fest, really.

I know it's popular to compare Khabib with Islam as having the same style but they're very different. Khabib was relentless in his takedowns and it was all ground and pound without allowing the opposition to breath. Islam is more generous and goes with the flow: Are we striking? Alright. Are we grappling? Show me what you got.
Khabib is the most dominant fighter in history with the most flawless wins but he retired. Islam's resume is nearly tied with Khabib's, one more win and he surpasses Khabib's. If he manages to become double champ, he leaves Khabib behind. But nobody will ever take Khabib's dominance away.

Even Islam admits that he has small chance if he fights Khabib. Maybe Islam looks far better in striking, yet the fact says that everybody has difficulty to touch Khabib' face. Khabib is so dominant and may be the most dominant fighter of all time. However for MMA resume, Islam will surpass Khabib soon after Islam defends the belt once more and gets Welterweight belt.
To me, islam better in term of resume but khabib better in terms of ability. I hope islam gets 2nd belt and break silva's 16 record.

khabib had some intangibles that islam just doesnt have. look at how khabib handled dustin compared to islam. khabib has a better fight iq, more grit, granite chin and superior wrestling. islam will end up better on paper. but khabib will always be better. khabib imo would run through charles, arman, chandler like childs play.
