If I had my choice of fishing anywhere in the world for any species, this would be my number one choice. Ever since I watched Wide world of sports on t.v. as a child and seeing Lee Wulff, Joe Brooks and Curt Howdy catch giant Canadian brook trout it's been a dream of mine
Fantastic. Those fish are real and consistent in size. I will be there in August, 2019. Was in Labrador in 2018...23 brookies over 4 pounds and one 8 and one 9 pounder. Incredible. As Tom noted in previous brookies , my largest was about 12 "
That's unbelievable! Luckily in Maine we still have many places that provide 5+ lbs brookies but not 8 or 9 lbs. Labrador is on my bucket list one day!
Being from Labrador and having lived in Cartwright, I can tell you this, when you fish anywhere on the Eagle River or many many other rivers in LABRADOR , You will Not be disappointed and there are no " stocked " fish in my wonderful LABRADOR.
When we shot this show it was 17-24 August and fishing was good. However, they have different seasons for the fishing based on what you are looking for. If you want to dry fly fish, then earlier maybe be better. We wanted to go when water was a little lower and we still could catch them on mice patterns plus on rainy days we caught LOTS of lake trout in 3-10 feet of water. So lots of options. Best idea is to call the owner Robin Reeve to discuss. He is a very honest and straight forward person about timings/fishing and based on what you need he should be able to help you. You can reach him thru his website at www.trophylabrador.com Great place, hope to go again soon!
Been there. Best fishing of my life.

What time of the year was this gentlemen? When is the best time to fish at Three Rivers Lodge?
