Exactly, Robert! She proved her love and devotion until the end, and yet ignorant people will still say ‘she did it for the money’ even though she was the one earning their money for years, and could have left him any time she wanted 😳👍

[ ] My dad was 24, my mom 14 when their parents arranged their marriage. It was taboo for Mom being a kid and she was reluctant but she had no choice. Long story short, we were 13 siblings. There's such a thing as love begets love even in today's older foreigner and a kid Filipina, but they're the exemption. It's usually to upgrade the life of the young Filipina, even her family benefits but it's not always the case. A woman looking for financial security is a woman thing, not exclusive to poor Filipinas. Young Filipinas abandoning the marriage in later life is always wrong and her youth is not a valid reason but on the part of the foreigner, it should be considered as always a possibility. At the end of the day, it's on the foreigners' choice whether to pursue a married life with a wife young enough to be his daughter and take the risk. Nothing that a woman can do if he doesn't wanna be with her. Also, all marriages are not without risks.

There still arranged marriages in Mexico. My grandma was 14 and my grandpa 18 when they got married. Had 12 kids. All married now with children. Grandpa came from Italian father who migrated to Mexico, fell in love with my great grandma. My grandparents were together till grandpa died of osteoporosis about 12 years ago in his early 70s. I met my husband through a relative, he’s just a friendly guy, with big heart, and very intelligent. It comes down to character; your values, morals and work ethic that your parents and family demonstrated and shared with you that will determine your choices in life and how well you will treat other people. For me it has nothing to do with society unless you allow it. My grandpa did not allow tv or radio in home. Everyone worked in the farm as a family. I guess you could say we lived in a bubble of our own creation. I am blessed to have many good memories from my family. But I know a lot of people don’t have that guidance. I feel that’s where God comes in to show us the way, if we have faith. You will never be alone with God. A part of god is within us.

I married my Filipina wife when I was 44 and she was 37. There is not an extreme age difference as you see in some relationships. we have been married for 17 years now. Before we got married, we both decided that we wanted our house to be peaceful. We could discuss things, we can have disagreements, but we promised each other we would never fight . We have kept that promise. I have had enough of that in my life (fighting). The core value that we both have is love and respect. In my mind, you can’t have one without the other.

In 1964, Dad, an immigrant laborer who worked his whole life in the fields, married Mom from Phil. He was 69, she was 29. Within 5 years, he brought her to US, used a CalVet home loan, had 4 kids, and he died. Mom became a single mother, filed for welfare, and had little English. We relied on extended family, SSA/VA, and we survived. And Mom is 88.

I was twice my wife's age (50/25) when we first met. After 4 visits on the 5th (a month each, over 5 years) we were married. 5 years later, we are prepping for our 5th Annv. We have had our problems here and there, but work through them. Mostly we fill the needs of each other. We both wanted what are now considered "old fashioned" values and a partner who fulfilled those roles still. She is spoiled rotten, and I am as well. So far, so good.

Yours are pretty close to opening the envelope. Its still acceptable in many traditional cultures. Maybe a 10 to 15 year gap between an older man and a younger woman is ideal. A very mature man with good finances should marry a younger woman at their fertile age to have babies. An older man can help a woman mature faster because women mature earlier than men. Other than that it is about financials and a caregiver for a very old man in the future. There can never be that young passionate love and romance these women will miss from a 3 to 5 year age gap in between. These things are the lives young women will regret missing out later on. Sure, some kind of love may develop between huge gap couples depending on the needs being met. But for me, a very old man who wants a young wife simply for selfish reasons should not be doing it. Neither should the young woman. Loneliness is part of our human condition. It is what it is. One can be alone, not be lonely and be content. But each to his own. At the end of the day its not anybody's business. I can't help expressing my opinion though because I want to understand the stimuli of human actions and relationships.

Send her a video of 50cent at hiring with his son. His son gets $6700 a month as a allowance but wants $25,000 a month, the son is 25 years old.
It’s not the same, but it’s funny. Both you daughter and 50’s kid, are entitled brats.
Find a good video and send it to her. Say 50’s son reminds me of you.
      XO Dad
Cus she can see likley the kids is goofed rude idiot… and see might see she’s being the same.
If being nice doesn’t work… sarcasm might.
Lastly, the Bible says your job is to give “respect” not love. And that’s back n forth. She’s not respecting you.

Okay. I gotta comment on this video. The reason: I caught my grandpa listening in and catching glimpses of this fairytale romance. I'm pretty sure, at one point, I could see a tear swelling in his eye, but he left the room. This is so endearing and uplifting for older gentelmen to see and hear. Respect gets respect. My grandfather's 2 prior marriages were to women of pure evil. I'd really like to see him find someone, other than me, to fill his time with. He just grumbles and says he's too busy and too old.
    .
Although, after his two evil-exs, STOLE from him (big time), and cheated on him, he swore off ALL American and Euro-trash women from that point on. He looked at me with the most serious face I'd ever seen, and said: I should've listened to my heart, not my head. Of course I had to ask what he was talking about. He answered with: I spent most of my military career in the Pacific. I fell in love the people, the culture, the family unity and sharing of community, oh, and the food. I love the food. WHY didn't I pay attention! I should've married an Asian girl. Now I'm just too old. I ignored my inner voice when I should've listened. I'm an idiot.
    .
Now we live on Saipan, which you probably know is primarily Filipino. Still, he looks, but he never partakes. He talks, makes friends and teaches people about photography (like ME!), and just comes home to work even more until he's exhausted. He's military, so he plus sleep is a fantasy. For the most part, he seems content, but I also think he needs someone other than me to hang with. After all, we work together in spite of the fact he says he's retired. If what he's doing is retired, it must have been amazing to see what he was like as young man. Keep 'em coming. I'm binge watching UA-cam!😝

I'm 18 years older than my wife. She was 24 and I was 42 when we married in Philippines. I told her I was poor and that I had no job or money. She did not care whatsoever, she was still into me. I did not tell her that I made a lot of money in high tech, and was living off my savings at the time, just taking a break from the tech world. I also did not mention that I come from a wealthy family. I told her my family was also poor. Later, only after our marriage, I revealed the truth to her. I know, kind of dishonest, but I heard all the horror stories and I wanted to test her. To see if she was a gold-digger. We have been married over 17 yeas now. She is honest, loyal, and straight as an arrow.

I first came to the Philippines in 1987 while working for the Navy at Subic. I married/divorced several times between my 1st marriage in 1973 and my last divorce in 2004. Not all relationships work out no matter what the age difference. I retired in 2007 and spent time in the Philippines and Thailand. In 2009 I had enough of Thailand and moved to Angeles City. Shortly after I had a girl that I had met back in 2008 in the Philippines move in with me. She is 32 years younger than me. In 2011 we married in the Philippines (she was 29). We then started toggling back and forth between the PI and the US. She became a US citizen in 2017. We built a house in her hometown of Sibonga, Cebu - but have been in Florida since Covid. We are live with my parents (ages 96 and 98), who would otherwise be in a nursing home. We have been together for over 13 years now and everything is wonderful. It may be an issue when I am too old to keep up with her, but we both were far more focussed on the good available in the present than a possible issue in the future. I must admit that the thought of dying before we have a full life is one I do not enjoy, but as I said, why run from ghosts that are not yet even born.

I also experienced some "marites" thing at the start of our relationship, but i just ignored all those. If you know and feel in your heart that he is the one, go for it! The first time I met and saw my husband in the airport, i never felt butterfly in stomach, not excitement, nor kilig! All I felt was peace, comfort, and be my self (no pretentions). And i remember my grandma's advice. That you will know if the person is the one or destined to be with you, if you feel peace when are with him/her.

There are up's and downs the same as in any marriage. We get on great. Her family are fantastic.
There has never been a problem from Thai people.
We have never been back to my country. But I can imagine the thoughts and remarks if we did.
My advice to people in the same situation. Think hard and talk together about it together.
I can only wish who ever you are and where ever you. All the very best and much happiness.
    One other thing.
You need to talk about have children or not and if there could be any consequences for your wife in the future re money and can she raise the children on her own.
Because you will most likely die before her.

Congratulations to John & Jessa! My Filipina (age 22) sent me (age 52) a friend invite on Facebook in September of 2011. I went to see her in the Philippines in April 2012, and we married just three weeks later. Nine months later in January of 2013, our first child was born. In April of 2013, my wife and daughter arrived here in America. Our second child (son) was born in January of 2015 and our third child (son) was born in August of 2022. We have now been married for about 10 1/2 years. She is 33 and I'm 63. Life is good and getting better every day. Oh, and I'm never, ever, ever going to get a vasectomy! 🙂

Wow Pea, thanks so much for this story! I am currently in a relationship with a Colombian woman and we have the same age gap. I met her online shortly before I visited Colombia. I was going to visit a friend that lives there in Bogota and coincidentally my gf also lives in Bogota. I had no expectations other than just meeting her as we hit it off online so well. Anyway, we met for dinner after talking for a little over 1 month online and it was just magic for us. I stayed in Bogota on that trip for 2 weeks and we spent most of that time together. We were both so sad when I had to go home. That was in July and I had a trip to the Philippines planned for September. After I got home I felt the need to return to Colombia and see if this thing with her was real. So, after talking to her about it I changed my flights and returned to Colombia for the month of September. We spent most of the month together, she has a job so we couldn't spend every moment with each other but we did end up going to the Caribbean for a whole week at a resort on the beach. So, now we are officially a couple. I have told my grown daughter about her and yes my daughter is much older than my gf. I have met some of her family and so far no one has had a problem with our relationship. The only person we haven't told yet is her mother. They have some unrelated issues that they recently resolved. So, she is waiting until she feels like those issues won't cause more trouble or an overreaction on her mother's part. We text all day and video call most nights. She has never asked me for money or presented any of the red flags I look for. I am happy and she seems to also be very happy. So, seeing the couple in your video gives me hope. My biggest fear is that as I get older she would be saddled with an old man to take care of but the folks in your video seem happy still after 14 years. So, I hope we can have the same result.

My wife and I are the reverse Pea! I will be 66 in December 2022, and my Filipina wife Ling will be 58 in November this year. People have said to me "Why didn't you get a newer model?". Sos pastilan gyud! Also, in less than two months after we met online (courtesy of her younger sister who I met in my hometown in Australia), she came and stayed with me for three months, and we married in my hometown in Australia in June 2017. She couldn't handle the Aussie winter, so I retired and joined her in the Philippines in late August 2017. My adult son and daughter in Australia were OK with this, but some members of my family were not so happy. However, we've lived here in Cagayan de Oro City Mindanao for five years now and we understand each other and love each other deeply. Of course at our age there is no question of having children together. I have always said that it's love and mutual understanding and trust that are most important. We have all of this!

Pea, you've done several videos on this topic. It is a great topic. I think marriage is challenging whether your culture, religion, color, age, etc., are the same, or the polar opposite. I am married to a Filipina 1/2 my age. Love and attraction is super strong. However, we struggle like any marriage. It takes patience, unselfishness, commitment, faithfulness, and loyalty. Marriage is a union where you go to GIVE, not take. I think the magic spark exists for a lot of reasons, but for many Filipina's, they want what most women want and that is a faithful and responsible man who will love and protect them and take care of life. Men want love and respect and to be taken care of too; sincerely. Traditional values are attractive. Age is just a number.

I think John should have advised her about the vasectomy before proposing. I'm very glad everything worked out for them. Catch you Tuesday morning. I was raised in the military and served in the Navy. Old habits die hard, so I was already up for a couple of hours. Pea:
This story hits the soft spots in people's hearts!
John seems like what would be the "average" Canadian pre-1980. Respectful, caring, and very protective of the ones he cares about. All typical things pre-1980 men from Canada.
If you give a Canadian man that is in that age range loyalty, compassion, and respect, He'll use his last bit of energy protecting you, and making sure that you know that he cares and respects you the same way.
As a Canadian man in my 50's, I know many guys around my age and older that are the same way. At the same time, we are mindful of respecting others, we really don't care what other's opinions of us are, because we know who we are inside. As much as we just let other's negative opinions brush off of us, we don't put up with people insulting those that we care about, and will deal with it accordingly. We may be known to be a peaceful country, but don't let that fool you when it comes to protecting those that we care about, we can get pretty ferocious in defending our loved one's honor. It didn't surprise me that even in his 60's, john backed off 7 younger men to defend Jessa's honor. It's what we do for the ones we love.
They seem like a great couple, and if you talk to them again, tell them I wish them a great many years of happiness and love together.

Some people have all the luck!
It is a credit to Filipinas, clearly demonstrating, if need was, that they are not only just gorgeous women, but also how lovely, generous, kind, faithful and honest they are.
Those alliances, circumstances are more frequent than it seems.
I have a lovely, wonderful dear friend who is married to a pensioner nearly three time her age, and she is very happy indeed.
As John says those foreigners have won the lottery and should be eternally grateful and thankful to their wife/companions.
I guess that many would love to know John’ seduction secret!
Being single is a very lonely and depressing way of life.
So, if he could bottle it and sell it, he will become a millionaire overnight !
The best of luck and happiness to Jessa and John, and to you dear Pea for your always amazing channel. 😃❤️

Wonderful story Pea. Best wishes for John and Jessa 😍. Their story is very similar in many ways to mine and my wife Sharon's story. The main difference is we chose to stay in the Philippines. It may change, but it is definitely not the plan at this time. Initially we planned for Sharon to immediately immigrate to Canada where I lived, but looking at the longer road ahead we decided otherwise. Many many of their experiences were almost exactly like ours. My family and friends back in Canada slowly but surely finally came to accept us. Now they all love Sharon and her (our) little boy Shawn very much and are very happy for us all.

Without watching the entire video, I would say that such a large age gap would doom a relationship. A nice story to watch before the weekend. I'm glad that they've been happily married for 14 years and I wish them many more happy years together. I think one of the main issues with things like age gap relationships is perception. We have an expression about looking at things with rose tinted glasses which basically means allowing nostalgia to colour your impression of something. You may watch a TV program you loved as a child and because of that, even as an adult, you will gloss over its flaws. Similarly when you grow up in a culture where age gap relationships are not very common your perception is that an age gap relationship is weird and somehow wrong.
Another expression is that to understand somebody you should walk a mile in their shoes, however in the majority of our daily interactions we only view matters from our own perspective and don't consider how things are for others. I saw another video about feminists reactions to men dating Filipinas and it occurred to me that the women who were calling it disgusting were making the false assumption that the Filipinas were exactly like them and therefore being exploited. They clearly had no concept of culture or any of the range of different issues in the Philippines. Again this is people having a false perception of reality.
I could go on a lot longer but I think I'll stop here and just wish you and your viewers a great weekend.

Mostly older women complain when men date younger women. A lot of it's the fact that the older women are either widowed, divorced, have ran off the men in their life or have children who have grown up and started their own lives and have trouble with the fact that they may grow old and possibly die alone.

Hahaha, can't imagine why 🤔 xD In your next video about tampo or one about things not to do with or to your pinay gf, add not sharing your videos specifically in rapid fire, I got tampo when I did, genuinely because I thought the content was informative and hilarious, but all she saw was another hot young pinay...at first, but she came around eventually and we get closer everyday. We have been together in an LDR for almost 2 years and I know everyone says this but, I can't imagine being with anyone else. We don't have a very large age gap, but i think its just about perfect the way things are. She's 33 and I'm 38. We're both working hard to be together. She wishes to IRL steam someday with me, I guess sort of like Jessa and her hubby :)
You had a Q&A video i think it was, can't be certain, but you briefly talked about missing your father and what he meant to you, the feeling you get. It pulled the heart strings tight on me, because Annabelle(my gf) was very much Daddy's girl, you reminded me of what happens everytime she remembers her father, she lost both her parents at a young age and has since been an incredible success in life, though she is incredibly too humble to even acknowledge it she put herself through university, became public attorney secretary in Bukidnon for almost a decade, and also was a teacher for adults attempting to further their less-than-highschool education(basics and exam preparations), and more, all despite everything she's been through. I think my greatest regret in life will be that I won't be able to meet her father, thank him for hard work as a father, and assure him that his daughter will be given everything she deserves, and kick back wedding beer with him (though neither he or I drink xD) Anyway, sorry for the rant! Maraming salamat po.
