Specialized Levo SL - First Ride, Honest Opinion!

- Having the opportunity to ride my mates Specialized Levo SL is just fantastic. That the beauty of riding with so many friends, we all have something different so it's easy to have a bash and make that all important informed discision. After all e-bikes and even higher end standard bikes are not cheap. Making the right discision is more stressful than you'll think.
The Specialized Levo SL is by no means a cheap bike. This retails for £5250, but if you shop around you'll get some cracking deals and perhaps a better spec. Be patient.
SL meaning Super Light. In large coming in at 18kg; that's pretty impressive given most e-bikes are approx 22kg plus.
Thrashing this around my local was an absolute blast. E-bikes are without a shadow of a doubt amazing to ride. You'll be smiling the whole time, and being able to do more and doing it easily makes it a great purchase.
So please enjoy the edit and hear my honest thought on the Specialized Levo SL.

My brother in law and sis have 4x power when i went to the specialized shop they only had a 21 turbo sl in my size. I got it few months ago and its been a blast! If you dont live and ride in the mountains its great. I can keep up with them every where, but on the hills i really have to spin it to keep up
Thanks for this confirmation comment. Great bike for sure, but also confirms what i was saying
@@MikesMTBAdventures exactly agree with you, im glad i could get a ebike period, they haven't gotten anymore in since, but maybe I get a new Yamaha or levo next, because i seem to like them all
You made some very good points. Great review.
Great review overall and looks like a fun trail you have there. I'm still riding my ancient 2003 Jekyll 2000 and even older F700 and have been telling myself I'm going to get a new bike every couple of years for the last decade. Now that I'm a bit older an Ebike is appealing but man its a lot of money so I see myself waiting a bit longer for the tech to mature a bit more. I think that I'd like something like this SL (size wise) but but with a bit more power - maybe power halfway between the SL and the Levo but no larger/heavier than the Levo since I really like its size.weight so maybe new tech will bring that in a couple of years. Maybe the motors will be quieter and more efficient then (or maybe Tesla will build an Ebike drive train).
agree, its not a mistake to wait, the ebike motors still have enough room in battery technology for lighter and advanced e-motors, the light versions will be one of the most competitive playground to win new customers.
Nice set of berms ~9 mins - is this QECP? Levo SL is nice but if you're going to have an ebike, might as well go full power. Have you ridden your mates E160 in anger? Cracking bike.
Great bike had a sl expert sadly sold it as couldn’t live with the Motor noice apart from that great bike
Great review of the Levo SL where did you ride looks great fun ?
This is queen Elizabeth country park buddy
These trails look amazing! Are they in the south?
Qecp buddy. Google it for exact location. Near Portsmouth
@@MikesMTBAdventures Thanks!

Great vid yet again mate... hope you had good fun with the eeb?
Adz my good pal is riding the new 2021 whtye e-160 buddy
You should borrow the E-160 next and review that.
🤜🤛
@@pauljnicholls3929 will if i can get one 👍
So was this the alloy version? If so I’d the 18kg legitimate or is that what it weighs without pedals, wheels, saddle & full of helium (the tricks the marketing department play)
Alloy version
Good vid :) Do you think your next bike will be an e-bike?
I know ill have one at some point. Not my next bike though 🚲🚲😂
Said it before I can feel you getting closer to buying one !!! I think as you said it will depend what you are looking for. I like having the option of the extra power on my Levo and also as you said, weight doesn't bother me either. I am very lucky I also have a regular bike so get the best of both that way. If not I might be tempted by the SL or another light-weight bike, but as fast as tech is changing in a few years perhaps we can have power and less weight !!!
I do want one, I'd be lying of i said i didn't. Just not yet 😂😂🤥
@@MikesMTBAdventures when the New Bike Day vid hits I will be laughing my MBR mag socks off. Will come down to QECP for a ride !! (actually plan to early '21)
