Dear God that woman knew how to sing this aria!!! ~ my favorite Giovanna (right up there with Verrett and Troyanos) ... and might I add I believe this to be operas finest written role - It is perfection and Ms. Forst achieves the same - Brava!!

This is just gorgeous. Forst was the other star of this production. She is better in some ways than Troyanos and Verrett, though not nearly as famous. The sheer voice is more accurate and beautiful and true than those two, both of whom were not adverse to breezy interpretations of pitch when expressing themselves. Bel canto insists on perfect piano-like on-pitch singing...and that's just the beginning.

I also prefer her to them both. She is pitch-perfect and doesn’t have the hollow sound of Troyanos or the break in register of Verrett. A big fan of all three nonetheless.
