unfortunately, there are times when you really need confidence to do the right thing. there are girls who are really scared or people with anxiety or another problem. so yeah. i am sure there are people who want to help, but it's really hard for them to do it... but there are many people too that just don't care
I imagine this scenario: Guy: drops wallet. Thief (actor): steals wallet. Random person to thief (actor): hey, is that yours? Thief (actor): gives wallet to the random person. Random person (real thief): takes off with wallet
And their excuse is always "they have social anxiety". And for those who keeps on saying you have social anxiety: I really hope that you would not let your social anxiety be a barrier to help others. Being brave at the moment is better than thinking about it at home and being guilty for not being able to do anything, for NOT WANTING to do anything. Selflessness is a virtue, why would you not help someone because of your social anxiety?. Social anxiety sucks, I know it's hard but atleast try to overcome it. You can help them without talking to them, I have never said "just because you have social anxiety" in all of my arguments because I know how much it sucks, so don't go on me saying I wouldn't know.
People who ignored the incident tends to walk faster to go pass the victim. It's like they want to get out of the situation asap, so they dont feel that much guilty.
I was in line at an ATM once, and the person ahead of me left and actually forgot to take her card, by the time I noticed she was already inside her car in the parking lot, I got the card and managed to stop her before she drove off, this happened about 7 months ago, it was amazing doing this 🙂 I have a strong love for all people 😊
My city where I live has a university and it's a really well known one. Not as big as oxford or cambridge but its known for its medical courses. Anyways, we get quite a lot of students from abroad who come to study and the majority is Chinese students. They're always so polite and never cause trouble compared to our native kids. I was walking home from school one day with my friend, we both get the bus home and I saw something drop from a woman in front of me. She didn't notice so I ran over and picked it up. It was a student ID card for the university and she was a chinese student. I'm usually really nervous with strangers but i ran after her. I explained and she was really grateful. I felt good knowing I'd done a good deed. My mum told me later (she works in the uni) that student ID cards are a hassle to replace as the students not only have to pay for them but it takes forever. This was a couple years ago so she's probably graduated by now but it still makes me feel happy 😂
When I was on a school trip to another city I lost my wallet. I either dropped it or was pickpocketed. We went to all the shops and even the police station to see if it was handed in by someone. I hate to think that people watched as someone stole it like this but that’s probably what happened.
So be nice and don't ignored that people steel wallet it is not nice and you should not be scared and just walk and don't say word you should be brave and that girl no you can't ignored that you should tell that person that someone is steeling you stuff
It’s easier to think about something than doing something so stfu, you probably wouldn’t do anything, it takes a *really* confident person to do stuff like this.
@@Ksubscribersnovideos-zr7jj IKR I’m so introverted and I would DEFINITELY not be able to take care of a situation like this. I’m not even able to say what I want at a restaurant, let alone fixing a situation in which someone’s wallet is being stolen.

the thing most people are missing these days is just confidence. the confidence to speak up and actually say whats on your mind. for me when watching this video i was just shouting to myself "its not that hard to just tell the person they dropped their wallet and somebody else just took it, just say it" but actually thinking about it if i were to be in that scenario it would be really hard to speak to a stranger. nonetheless we should work on our confidence and speak to the people in public in similar scenarios like these.
Some people are extremely introverted like me, and aren’t able to handle the situation for the lack of ability to come up with words and actions on the spot, especially in such a situation like this. No matter how much they want to help the guy, they might feel they’re incapable of doing so and are scared to.
The "What if that guy who picked up the wallet is really dangerous, has a gun with him and will do anything just to have money" crosses their mind. That's why they did nothing
Ok i read some of the comments and i would like to say something In my opinion i think most of the people didn't act up because this is an unrealistic situation. They were just confused. I mean how often would you see someone just take a wallet right in front of someone without hesitation in broad daylight? If the guy who took the wallet had like looked behind him to make sure he didn't see it then naybe people would have been more reactive. This was an amazing video btw!!!😍
People gotta stop thinking that its non of their business when something bad is happening to someone else. Have the balls and compassion to stand up or speak out for someone who can't stand or speak for themselves. If something is happening in front of you, it makes it your business so don't just back off or ignore it.

it’s not that people don’t want to, they just don’t have the confidence to do so

Future Engineer
