why not use the full bottle with a cap for a suction to pull the oil off the top of the water....similar to a syringe

Just pour with your hand stopping the flow. Wait for the oil to float before opening the tap (your finger).

Do it slowly and if you want completely clean oil then heat it up to evaporate the remaining water

An easier and ultimately more effective way would have been to just put the beaker in freezer for about an hour or so. The water would freeze, stay at bottom and oil pours right off top.
