Thanks Kat, I took my three month old pup ,Boone, out in the water today in Colorado and he came out to me to get treats but I’m going to try the collar and fetch next time in a pond instead of river ...

My dog Lloyd is fearless of water but for some reason it seems like he's not using his rear legs then starts to panic a little. I might try a dog life vest to help aid in keeping his rear end up in the water. Anybody have thoughts?
Not really sure if y’all will reply or not but my 7 month old lab will fetch as long as she can stand in the water but if she has to swim I can’t get her to go
My GSP loves to swim and retrieve in the water. Problem is when he isn't retrieving and just swimming he literally bites at the water and ends up drinking a ton. Any training tips to get him to stop drinking water? Thanks!
Some puppies really just like to tank up on water. Plus they are prey driven animals so the splashing they are seeing when they swim incites their prey drive and they try to bite at it! Its a pretty normal thing for puppies to do! Just keep up the water work and as they gain experience the puppy behaviors will go away!

The tug trains them to have a hard mouth
Thanks for your opinion, but if done correctly it will build a more solid and natural mouth.
