people complain too much about how Troy Baker replicated Hamills voice. Arkham Origins was an origin story. Joker had the same voice just younger. same with Bruce Wayne/Batman. thats why Troy essentially replicated Jokers voice but he sounded younger.
When they talked about movie/TV celebrities doing voice acting, and if any voice actors are underrated... It made me think of David Hayter being replaced by Kiefer Sutherland in the upcoming MGS. Sutherland does a hell of a job, but why try to "fix" something that isn't broken? And I'm pretty sure Hayter wanted the role as well.
i think it's more to sepparate big boos from solid. Its been said by a lot of people that maybe solid is going to appear in some part of the game, and if they had the same voice actors it would be weird. I know they are clones, but it could be a possibility
Robin Atkin Downes would have to be the most underrated voice actor I've heard. He'd be up there with Troy Baker and Nolan North as one of the best in the business. Some of his voices are: The Medic from Team Fortress 2, Tenzin from Uncharted 2, Kazuhira Miller from Metal Gear Solid, Talbot from Uncharted 3, Male voice 3 from Saints Row 3 and 4, Yasha from Asura's Wraith, George Washington from Assassin's Creed III, and Robert from The Last of Us.
I couldn’t agree more with Roger’s remark about the underrated nature of all these phenomenally talented voice actors. I can’t begin to imagine how difficult it is to fully assume a role when you don’t have all of the props,as well as the physical and tangible ambience to help one transform, suspend their disbelief and fully manifest a character. To deliver all of the emotion, presence, and reaction of being a certain character; with a certain personality, in a specific setting, with nothing but your voice and mind to sell it to yourself is nothing short of breathtaking. Bravo to these men and their peers.
@@burythelight360 still the same character pain is still his best character overall his superb fully fleshed out backstory character development and redemption arc were done perfectly nagato was the best written character in the series he was stupidly well developed and redeemed, rhys strongfork next is booker those are his top 3 developed roles and characters thus far. For Roger his best role is ezio auditore next batman then chris Redfield.
mitomen2000 Amen to that. Roger Craig Smith was a fantastic Batman and more than did Kevin Conroy justice. I think the reason everybody gives Troy more attention is because he replicated and flawlessly filled the shoes of Mark Hamill's Joker who always steals the show.
They said they had gotten another gig at an unnamed company. Well, we already knew what studio was doing Arkham Origins. Theres only one reason to hide or not say the name of the company. That has to be because they got a gig with RockSteady to do their new Batman game. Awesome.
+anrina Me too, I agree about the celeb voices in games. One exception that comes to mind though would be Stephen Merchant as Wheatly in Portal 2. Although, he's not that much of a celeb is he?
This was an awesome interview, both of these guys are great. Now if only we could get a session with Nolan North in the mix and the internet might just explode.
I fancied troy up until I watched this. Men wearing scarves indoors is pet peeve enough, but WOMENS scarves? "ooh im so arsty and hip", no you fell into the clothes bag in Oxfam, bit of a difference.
Troy and roger are amazing..
"Stop twerking" - Ezio Auditore
Troy Baker is filling that room with awesomeness. Love the way he talks
roger craig smith is so ideal as chris redfield. i love it. :)

Don't forget the most important, he voiced the Prince of Persia (or better named, prince of games) in Warrior Within
Avatar Korra Rico from the first Just Cause game

Captain America and Hawkeye! (They were the ones who were voicing the characters in "Avengers Assemble")

at the end credits, I actually thought it was Mark Hamill singing, knowing that Troy Baker played Joker
***** no....they never got Mark Hamill to do anything in the game. That was all Troy Baker
***** but I did! The credits are given to Troy rather than Mark! Oh damn you internet!
***** damn right! lol
Oh Troy you handsome devil ❤️
he's freaking sexy
I freakin' love Roger Craig Smith ^_^. His voice is just naturally alluring... and attractive.
real 😍
Roger is so funny!

This was the funniest interview I've seen in a long time
troy is tall and skinny and his voice is amazing as joker some director please! just get him to play the joker live action lol

My favorite character snow villiers thanks troy you are the best...
Oh, Troy. ~ ♥
It's so awkward when the interviewer asks Roger a question, and he's just staring down the barrel of the camera.
25:47 well said batman.
Wow, first time I've ever seen Roger Craig Smith, totally not what I expected, lol
cool guys, wow, such voice
I liked Stephen Merchant as Wheatley in Portal 2. I didn't know it was him actually.
25:34 "I'm not gonna get to do Mine?" :D ..Just hilarious !
I didn't mean to watch the WHOLE video at 2am but here I am at 2:35am thinking that I should stop twerking.
yeah! NYC baby!
That thumbnail. Oh Troy ^~^ -3
The fact that troy can do ryu hayabusa and this is impressive
That's because he WAS the voice of Ryu in the games.
He voiced Ryu from Dead or Alive Dimension onwards and Ninja Gaiden 3
This guy is perfect for the role of the joker
"This guy" "That guy"
*pointing fingers in the background*
Roger!
Troy baker is smoking hot lol jake muller babbyyyy
he's smexy
Why Roger and Troy sound so similar?
they don't
when are you gonna do this again?
The thing is, with some face-paint, Troy Baker DOES kind of look like The Joker.
Where’s brad Pitt now
What Troy said. Get jack Bauer the fuck out of my MGS!
I miss Justin !
