Hanwha Resort Sanjeong Lake Anshi
If you're planning a trip to Pocheon, this is probably the first accommodation option that comes to mind. It's a large resort, so it has its own restaurants, convenience stores, and recreational facilities nearby, making it very convenient. We've been here a few times, but this visit left us the most satisfied. The water in the valley was crystal clear due to the perfect water level.
💚 Restaurants 💚
Sanbital Sondubu
We stumbled upon this place, which is close to our accommodation and perfect for lunch. As mentioned in the video, the food here is not too spicy or overwhelming but has a healthy and flavorful taste. The side dishes are delicious, and despite eating a variety of dishes, we felt comfortable and satisfied.
Idong Jeongwon Galbi
Recommended by a local in Pocheon, this restaurant was a first-time visit for us. Although it's about a 20-minute drive from our accommodation, it was worth it. The food was exceptionally delicious. We plan to eat Idong Galbi exclusively when we visit Pocheon in the future. Considering the portion size and price, it's reasonable. The outdoor seating was a plus, but be prepared for potential waiting times due to its popularity.
Sanjung Roo
This restaurant is a 5-minute walk from Hanwha Resort. We visited based on a recommendation from friends who traveled with us. The spicy beef brisket jjamppong wasn't extremely red in color but was pleasantly spicy, which suited my taste. As shown in the video, the portions were generous. What's great is that they have a kids' menu (₩3,000). If you're staying at Hanwha Resort, you can enjoy a hearty meal of beef brisket jjamppong to recover from the previous night and then explore Sanjeong Lake.
Bakery in the Woods
We visited this place while searching for Pocheon cafes on our way back from Cheorwon's Damtero Glamping in June. We didn't initially recognize it, but it turned out to be the same place. It was recommended by our local Pocheon friends. It's a well-known cafe in Pocheon, and you can easily find it with a quick search. The owner told us that he received the land from his father and built the cafe using materials from the original house. You can feel his passion for the place. The bread was delicious, and the bear-shaped shot coffee is Instagram-worthy and tasty. We'd love to visit again when the barley or buckwheat flowers are in full bloom. 🥰
