i'll forever wonder why youtube doesnt recommend this to more people and instead they recommend brainrot content (i understand that youtube seeks for more money)
I never thought about Awe before, but after watching this it made me remember all those moments and how you feel so small but in the best way. It really puts life and small worries into perspective looking at something bigger than yourself. Thank you Max for showing us what happiness is ❤
experiencing the Awe leads to this desolving of the ego. when we experience the awe, we are so emerced by this moment, that the inner critic quiets. The inner awe can help the shift of perspective ☺️👌🏾
brought me to tears. in this difficult time, the eclipse almost felt like a gift from the source reminding us how little we are as individuals and how big we are as a collective. thank you for making this series
When I'm around my grandchildren, I'm always impressed by how the smallest things make them happy. So I try my best to see things through their eyes. It helps to appreciate what as adults, we take for granted. Teaching them to look through the telescope has been one of those awe moments for me. I thought they were enjoying seeing up close what they already knew was there. But they picked up on so much more. The colors, the vastness of it all, the experience, the surroundings, the everything that it took to get to that moment. They ask for more because its fascinating. Now I feel the same way. These moments are awe moments.
Thanks for putting words on something I could not exactly grasp. I’ve been experiencing this with photography: it helps me see the beauty in the details of our world
Max, this series has done more for me than any therapist or medicine. It helped me change how I perceive the world around me and shift my focus to the things that actually matter. I am indeed a much happier person now. Thank You
I adored this video! I just drank my cup of coffee and this video was the first media i consumed this morning so it really defined the direction of my day. As one of the other commentators say - You were born to make movies! They are so impressive! Thank you ❤
Very glad youtube recommended this to me today even though I ignored the first video of this series when it was recommended 2 months ago. Gonna binge watch everything now 🤗
I love this episode, Max! Very thought-provoking and inspiring! This whole series on Happiness is excellent! I've sent the links to the videos to my friends. Very informative and fun! Thank you! best regards from a viewer in Ukraine!
I have become a big fan of your work since I saw you in Jack Conte's show. I really love your work on happiness and especially your editing style is unparalleled. Every time I recommend your work to someone (which I have done quite often now) I have to laugh - because living in Munich, Germany you have a whole different association with Max Joseph: He was the first king of Bavaria. Called "Max the first Joseph". If you're ever in Munich - you have to take a picture with his statue (and meet me, maybe 😅)
PS: you should come visit during the Oktoberfest (it’s in September of course). Should be a great time to talk to people about perceived happiness. I’ll be happy to host you in my Creator Dojo.
@@maxjosephdirector I do think so, yes! I'm pretty sure there are awe-inspiring spots and stories in and around Munich that are worth a visit. (Like ten(!) Adele Shows in a row, starting this week, or 40.000 people watching the Taylor Swift concert from the Olympic Hill outside the stadium for free last weekend) Anyway: I'm looking forward to further episodes of your series.
Love how you put things in perspective! I never thought about how looking forward and reflecting on memories relate to happiness. Thank you for making these videos 💛
Max, your series on happiness is honestly one of my favorite things to watch, I wait for it in wonder, I enjoy it with happiness and I revisit it with awe, thank you!
Hey Max .. Thanks for your presence on UA-cam ❤. I wish to have some type of Tutorial of How you construct your workspace for Audio editing first and then Video . I personally would love to know about Your Editing style cause I loved the concept of Music first and then Visual . Please make something on this topic Explaining the basics and your process 🙏❤️
As expected, top notch video makin'. Shared it with my skateboard friends chat thread. This video linked up immediately in my mind to last week of laughter and joy/awe, when we all got together and did a local roadtrip to 3 different skateparks, and ended at one of buddy's house with BBQ and a dip in the pool. (sifting through close to 4 hours of footage and audio now)
my take away was: remebering happy moments is a very important part of happiness - I wonder if dementia occurs when ppl do not remeber happy moments a lot
Well done Max. Your storytelling is magnificent and I listened your podcast with Rich Roll. I followed you from Casey Niestat and as a content creator, I learned very important lesson of storytelling which recording the narration and tailoring the clips over it. Keep up the great work and I wish you amazing and happy life. A fan from Somalia.
talking to chatgpt about coding is when i recently thought how lucky i am to be alive.. which made me a bit sad that i no longer say that to mundane things and people around me. and this is not a mountain range but ai.
I wonder if billionaires would share more with humanity if they experienced awe... alas, I imagine they've seen and done everything, so awe is out of their reach -_-

Is it the same reaction in my brain when I look at someone I love and just think „wow“ or would that be another neurotransmitter that reacts?
It's insane, that this vid has only 28 k views...
