The Ethic of Serving the Lord

Everyone serves someone. The questions are, who do you serve and why do you serve them? The reality is that many people choose to serve themselves. Their time is spent to advance themselves and their money is spent on their own comfort. Some people genuinely live a life of service to others because they love an ideal, an institution, or another person more than themselves.
The Christian ethic, however, is all of that and more than that. It is to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, because He alone is worthy of our lives, talents, time, energy, and treasure and we are to serve Him even as we serve others. But the Bible is clear that there is a right way and a wrong way to serve the Lord.
This week we will explore the difference and, we pray, it will make all the difference in our service.
