    I'm always happy to see your video because we get same crates at similar time! I was really happy with this box until I saw how much they removed toys from previous box. But the new toy that they added, my son love it so much. So I'm still happy with the box. Hope your son enjoy them as well!

      My son does seem to really enjoy it. He’s quite fond of posting activities. It is a bit of a bummer that they removed so much but the box is the a good one.

    I can make those felt shapes with my sewing machine and get toy tweezers and that's it, but a good idea really

      Pretty neat stuff. Never thought I’d be researching this stuff lol. Definitely no shortage of toys for my son to play with.

    Some of the buckles in the buckle barrel is quite hard for 2 years old. My son at 27 months still couldn't unlock them. He has no problem locking all of the buckles though.

      I’ve seen my son play with some of them and I notice the difficulty on them varies a bit.

    I only purchased one toddler box and the rest did not look worth their high price tag + cad exchange rate. I felt that a lot of the boxes were offering balls in every box with not much added value. Seeing how much they removed and didn't replace makes me happy that I didn't invest in another box.

    • @kevin-lu

      Yeah it sucks to see the value go down on the boxes. I can’t imagine paying more than the price we pay already so adding in cad exchange rate I probably would’ve canceled too.

    these videos are great, kinda bummed about the larger drip drop cups being removed, my baby loves the smaller set

      I didn’t even think twice about ordering the larger drip drop cups from the store. My son loves playing with them. The great thing about the large ones are that they continue where the smaller set left off. You can make a pretty tall stack with both sets.

      @@kevin-lu OMG I need these!! The small version of those cups are my sons all time favourite item from Loveevery. I have literally never put them away for toy rotations, there is not a day that goes by where he hasn't reached for them - usually first!

    Seems this kit definitely was a lot better before. The peg toy could be replaced with the Montessori cylinder blocks, as that seems to be what they based this toy on, in posting form. The tweezer activity could really just be DIYd at home as you did with your son. Same for the buckle toy-kiddos will typically be more interested in something as difficult as buckles if it's on an item they see and use daily, like their stroller buckles.
    For the animals, wild republic makes wonderful large and small sized figurine sets, about $13 a bag, with well over 6 in each. And this material is quite late in development-we already have it on rotation at 10 months, so I'm surprised they're sending it in this box.

      Yeah it is a bit odd that they have matching animals so late. We made our own several months back as well and it’s one of my son’s favorite activities. Didn’t know about the wild republic brand though. I’ll need to take a look to see if they have animals I’m missing.

      Regarding this box would I pick the Amazon versions or Lovevery box? I would pick this Lovevery box a year early and introduce the animals at 10 months and the matching images at 18 months, saving the rest of the itens for the intended age range.
      The reason I would pick the Lovevery box over the Amazon box is the large upgrade in quality. The Lovevery toys will last through several children and still retain resell value. They are heirloom quality.
      The previous Companion kit did offer better value - a book, special box, drip cups, and big doll were removed. I would like to see Lovevery add more unique story books rather then remove books from the kits.

    I can't believe they would remove BOOKS 😑 that alone makes me want to stop my subscription but actually I decided already I wasn't gonna get anymore after this one which is on its way. All the "unique" toys in boxes to come can be found on amazon. Thanks for the review we will be enjoying our companion package soon 🙂

      I agree removing books is crazy! The books are usually my son’s favorite. It also lasts much longer. I’m hoping the year 2-3 boxes are good. My plan at least for now is to keep going.

    Are you planning on purchasing the removed items from Lovevery? I have the original box with removed items and I purchased the new wooden peg puzzle. My child is mildly interested in the new puzzle. The removed items are way more versatile, useful & interesting to my child.

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  3 роки тому +1

      I purchased all the removed items except the 2 piece puzzle as I already have a large set of them.

    Hi! Thanks for the wonderful review! BTW could you refer me to buy a block set? Thanks!

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  3 роки тому +1

      I haven’t purchased one myself yet as my son isn’t too interested in blocks building at the moment, but my sister in law bought the Lovevery one and my niece almost 4 years old enjoys it. My nephew who is about 19 months old plays with it as well but I heard not as much.

    Hey Kevin, you must be so busy! Did you ever do the review video with your son playing with the items for the Companion Kit?

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  3 роки тому

      Not yet. Too many Lovevery items came up so they got pushed.

    Hi Kevin! I love your videos been following you for a year and all your videos are so interesting and useful!! I was wondering if you changed the size of your storage bins since you started getting your toddler kits. I know you were using the target 12qt bins do you still use those?

    • @kevin-lu
      @kevin-lu  3 роки тому +1

      I did end up getting larger bins from Costco. They’re about double the size. Not exactly sure the measurements since I threw away the packaging.
