    This record had a huge impact on my life I feel it's extremely "heavy stuff". Especially the two songs: Man of peace and Jokerman. It was as if somebody rolled up the curtains in a dark room and I saw the light shine on my life so far. I was going to leave my tormentor anyway, but this record made me even more sure it was the only thing I could do if I wanted to continue living. The emotional and psychological gaslighting and verbal abuse I had gone through by then would have destroyed me if I stayed in that relationship. I can only say that my marriage was a "true match in hell" so thank you Bob for saving my life back then. I know that the healing process is going to continue, but have been staying away from men since then, so man of peace sure did a number on me, but God is the great healer. I am not making this up. So many things in the songs was as if Bob was singing about x It was small detail after detail......gives me goose bumps! Only God could have given him the inspiration to write those songs. I am sure of that.

    When you are finally able to hear 'lost & forgotten' moments like this, and you ask yourself, "which was better? the rehearsal or the public performance?"
    And you wonder about that.
    Thank you very much, Moth.
    It is great to listen to this recording for the first time in this here summer's evening..

    This rehearsal perfectly captures one of the problems of Dylan's Europe '84 tour. His 'so so' stadium rock band failing to do justice to one of 'Infidels' greatest moments!

      @FlaschDJ Рік тому

      I agree with you. The Infidels recording of Jokerman is unsurpassed - because that band included Mark Knoffler, Sly and Robbie and Mick Taylor.
      Dylan played Jokerman on Letterman backed by a band called The Plugz. I thought it was AWFUL. I don’t for this version either. The album version spoiled me.

    A me piacciono i video di Bob, non queste banali registrazioni.
